But why did the other platforms come through that quickly?

Don’t really know about this

Hey folks so let me add a little clarification to this since there appears to be some confusion.

No one here on the team is covering for a mistake or blaming Nintendo for anything. While they do have a longer approval cycle than other platforms, we build this into our plan for release. We didn't complain, fuss, call them out, etc...

We stated because the update hadn't gone through their scheduled process we simply could not push the hotfix out and until that happened Nintendo players could not play the game due to incompatibility. This is just simple truth.

Fortunately Nintendo was able to process this faster than normal and get folks back in.

This was discussed today! These were initially removed to prevent a situation where players were crashing. We plan reimplement these after we've taken another sample of crashes to ensure it's no longer an issue.

I've played this game the past week and lag was just fine. Only tonight. I'll play again over the next few games and post up.

Please let us know if this experience continues. Unfortunately a lot can happen between your PC and our servers but if it's while connecting to our servers we'd like to make sure that connection is as solid as possible.

Please see the stickyed post at the top regarding the Hotfix. We hope to have this resolved soon.

No. Read it again. They pushed forward a patch that would delay Nintendo rather than have Xbox down. We got the crumbs on purpose.

We have opted to release the other 3 approved hotfixes (PC and PS4) and ask Nintendo to expedite theirs. This is a highly unusual circumstance and "rolling back" is not something the platforms are able to accommodate.

I believe that's actually in this hotfix as well. Let me know otherwise.

We are currently in contact with Nintendo and asking them approve this update as soon as feasibly possible. It is well in advance of when they were scheduled to provide it so it's something we are hopeful they can accommodate.

Once that is approved we will roll it out almost immediately.

Hey Rogues! All servers will come down at 2:00 PM today for a brief maintenance to hotfix Xbox, PlayStation, and PC clients. Downtime is expected to be approximately 1 hour. You can note the following changes:

  • Enemy nameplates should no longer be visible through the Church building on the Windward map
  • Dahlia's ability should no longer remain available if a player switches Rogues during halftime
  • Using The Fixers thermal ability will no longer cause him to stand up
  • Swinging Ronin's Ballistic Knife should no longer use up it's charge
  • Made improvements to address a variety of crashes due to memory issues
  • Fixed an issue that was preventing Dahlia's ability from being used in later rounds (please continue to report any issues with this)

The Fixer

Tyr:

  • Reduced body damage from 70 to 60

Warrant:

  • Adjusted falloff damage range
  • Fixed an issue where the weap...

While map rotation is working as intended we do notice situations where poor RNG can hit people pretty hard. The team is discussing solutions to this that we hope to implement in the future!

If you are referencing the 100 Thieves or Dr. Disrespect bundles those are simply just not going to be available forever. We don't have specific end dates for them at this time but we'll definitely make an announcement before they leave.

Hey Rogue Company! This morning's maintenance was minor but should have resolved a few outstanding issues. There are still more we working on for hopefully later this week but for now:

  • Contracts should start refreshing for those impacted
  • Players not seeing their equipped skins when they load into a match should see this resolved
  • Players experiencing issues purchasing when they see a balance available to do so should no longer have this issue.
  • Players should now start receiving the Rank 30 avatar for Ranked Beta.

Please let us know if any of these three are still happening to you. As stated above we still have plenty more to do (we're looking at you Dahlia linking bug) but will hopefully have more news soon.

Now after they keep releasing "hotfixes" and adding new stuff it may be harder, but when they were presented with the bug, since they only listed a hand-full of changes in that update, they could have taken the time to reverse the update (internally), implement each change one by one and see which one breaks it. Then either fix it or ditch that change until they can sort it.

Hey there! Unfortunately, this is not really feasible with games (or the games as a service model) due to the complexity of these updates. While I can just rollback an update I make to my PC for Windows doing something like this for a Rogue Company update would require:

  • Rolling back server changes
  • Rolling back various infrastructure updates to be compatible. Many of these either work in harmony, or the servers quickly experience issues.
  • A full resubmission for certification for Microsoft, Sony, and Nintendo (these platforms don't allow 'rollbacks' so to them you are just submitting a new update)
  • Full Quality Assurance testing passes to ensure we caught everything but one missed item could make the game completely fail
  • Allocation of Operations folks for another full maintenance (updates take longer than hotfixes)

The issues are not excusable to us, but we have to look at what is going to be faster and the above wo...

I’m convinced they’re still in denial. In a thread last week one of the devs said it was only a switch issue

Could you point me to where that was said? While early on while we were triaging, frankly we weren't sure why it was breaking. However, at no point was Dahlia only a Switch problem. We have some potential fixes being tested right now, but the unfortunate problem is this bug is very difficult to reproduce.

To be very clear this is not broken, it has been disabled until we can fully complete this feature. We'd like to add this feature in the future.
