What I'm curious about is, how they appear to work such short 'notice periods'. A lot of them leaving announce they're leaving pretty soon-ish (i.e., next week or end of the month but it's already halfway through said month). Makes you wonder... Is it redundancy? Gardening leave? Dismissal? Expiration of contract? Submission of shorter notice periods because they simply cannot stand working there anymore? (I've done this!!) Using accrued annual leave strategically to shorten the time left on notice? (I've also done this!) Or are they submitting their resignations in advance (the UK stand is about 4 weeks, but can go as high as 16 weeks in some cases depending on length of service), but not announcing it until nearer the end of the notice? Maybe I'm just cynical! But this eerily stinks of the old saying 'rats leaving a sinking ship'!
Hmmm... Guess we'll never know! But, I wish you all the best either way :)
