Hello Pioneers!

Alongside working on the April content update, we just pushed another small patch addressing load time bloat due to vehicle recordings and some of you not being able to save the game. To do the latter, we moved the save location out of ‘My Documents’. On start-up after the patch is downloaded you’ll have a backup of your saves in the old location and all your saves will be migrated to the new location. The new location is:

%localappdata%\FactoryGame\Saved\SaveGames\

BUG FIXES

• Fixed vehicle idle recording issues bloating load times and FPS

• Fixed some players not being able to save by moving the save location

Patch Notes: Early Access - v0.101 - CL 96032

Hello Pioneers!

We’ve got the patch incoming we talked about at the end of last week. This is a small update addressing the most immediate issues. We have focused on the login issue and the most relevant crashes for this update, but are working on fixing other bugs for the next update.

Next week we are planning to have more fixes for you! Hope you are having a great time and let us know about any issues that occur <3

BUG FIXES

• Likely fixed the issue with Sending Game Data that blocked multiplayer

• Likely fixed some Replication Graph crashes (multiplayer crashes)

• Fixed several double click construction crashes on client

• Fixed saves that were created while playing offline not being joinable by other players

• Toned down the fog at certain times of day in Northern Forest and Rocky Desert

Jace- I don't often comment on reddit about things like this, but let me go out of my way to say that even with these silly bugs, even if I experienced every one constantly, the game itself is so fulfilling that they don't bother me in the slightest. You guys did an amazing job on this game and I'm still finding enjoyment even after 90+ hours in the game (test and alpha release).

The multiplayer bug is irrelevant to me due to the session itself controlling technology level for all participants. We thought perhaps we could have a 3 player game and race to see who could reach end game the fastest, and found that we all share a collective "level" so to speak. Due to this, we are all playing individually and comparing results.

Could you comment on whether multiplayer in the future is going to have technology player-focused? We're looking to perhaps have a dedicated server at some point int he future to play around with mods and continue developing additions to the game ...

aww thank you so much, really great to hear this kind of feedback.

i love the idea of races! we have plans for mods and for dedicated servers so that may become a reality. but we have no plans to implement such a game mode at this time.

Hi!

Just posting a few of the major known bugs and some (temporary) solutions. We were hoping to have a patch out by now, but we need to ensure that the patch is safe and so things are taking a little longer than expected. Apologies for that but I can assure you we see the reports and we're listening! As annoying as the bugs are for you, they are - imo - WAY more annoying for us as this is a passion project of ours and it genuinely hurts to see you all experiencing these bugs.

Really sorry. We're doing our best! :3

Onto the issues!

1.

Issue: Can’t play/join multiplayer because login on start-up fails. (A good 
indicator is nothing showing in the News Feed)

Fix: Disable Send Game Data in the Options Menu. Doesn't seem to work for 
everyone, but it does help for a lot of folks. We are currently testing 
a proper solution for this.

Patch Notes: Early Access Release - v0.1 - CL 95718

THIS IS HAPPENING! The game is now released and we are incredibly excited for you all to play Satisfactory. Here are some patch notes detailing the changes that went in since the Alpha Test Weekend. There is lots of new content in the Early Access version and there are likely more tweaks and fixes in this version than these patch notes cover.

Right? when i watched this the other day i was surprised too how long something survived! But oh so many things were added then scrapped between that recording that video and now.

hmm i can try suggest it. but we plan on building mod support in the future but hey, y'all can do a lot of cool sh*t with very few resources so I - personally - am down for that.
