Who needs airstrips?

A small update on the amazing spider caves. Still in the concept phase, things will be changed a lot. Not even close to be in the actual game. If you get inside there will be no way home!

Well it's Monday you know what that means ->

This isn't a sprint, it's a marathon.Resources are around you all the time, and still if you don't have food it doesn't mean you will die instantly.And if you still have doubts, strap yourself with just 5kg of gear and go running for 30+km.Let me know how well that went for you!

The equation is simple,use the common sense. If you carry 50 kg of gear, have 4 layers of clothes and you are sweating like a pig, yes you will burn water and calories like nothing. If you sprint or do heavy work fully geared up you'll deplete your resources. Slow down and think!

So,the conclusion is:NO you will not die if you don't eat each minute. YES,you will die quickly if you dehydrate. Body fat and muscles are used as a backup when there are no other food sources. YES your character will get weaker,but it WON'T DIE.This isn't a noobish DayZ sim FFS!

Eventually I've returned back to where I've started and ate my potatoes and grapes, with some resting cured the starvation and recovered to full health. I've lost almost 2 kg of fat and gained +0.2 on CON and +0.1 on DEX attributes. I bet I could have ran at least for 1 hour more

During that time I went through all starvation phases, including the last half of C4 starvation.I passed out 4-5 times, once almost fell in the lake,and was attacked by a boar that I killed but didn't eat it. It was 6+ hours of not eating nothing and being fully active.

I took 3 sips of water (600ml), waited to be absorbed and rested, then took 3 more for the journey. After that I had enough water to reach anything in the range of two sectors of jogging. I went all up to north and returned back along the river bank in 0 columns.

Early in the first sector, I've stumbled upon a vineyard and potato field. I've checked plants in front of me (not the whole area) I found two grapes and two potatoes that I held on me the whole journey. The character was heavily dehydrated before reaching the first water source.

I've packed AK for protection and NVG. The character had limit of 10kg of weight to carry and all my gear was around 7-8kg. I didn't bother to search for anything, food or water, but I kept myself in shadows to cool down the character and not to lose water too much.

The journey started with a food at 88% and 60% of water in the body. During the course of gameplay that lasted over 6 hours I've jogged half of the time and sprinted the rest. I've planned a trip to be near water sources to keep hydration levels up. Food wasn't important at all

Hello, this will be a wall of text.
I received remarks that you need to eat and drink too often and that metabolism should be slowed down and decided to put a stop to it.
I've created the worst character with 1,1,1,1 attributes, and went on a tour around the island on foot.

I'll just put this here to annoy people who say that 0.7 is one plane/one motorcycle update.
All programmers were used for it. It was drawn on their backs. They had to stand really still so any work related to modular BB, cooking, AI, etc was not possible.
The game dev is hard!

So it seems that hotfix has made things better, but I bet there will be plenty other reasons to hate us. It’s so inspiring to start the workday being hated. It’s inspiring!
In the meantime, these boots are made for walkin'
