Do people look at the NBA as unprofessional when player comments get picked up on mic like that? This is absurd and very clear that a lot of people here don't watch sports outside of smite

Lemme just say that I'm not questioning the professionalism of any HiRez employees here. My point is that it's not the same as sports. The thing is, HiRez has complete authority over who appears in their pro games, with only 40 players in total competing at SWC. It's very much different than a large-scale NBA environment where there are insane amounts of players. I won't watch a basketball match and be like "wow there's sure a lot of arguing, NBA really allows toxicity in basketball so I won't play any during my own free time" but a random person seeing Smite for the first time and seeing this clip with the n-th post here on Reddit about how toxicity is bad in Smite WILL say "huh this game seems cool but the people say it's very toxic and this clip sure seems to confirm it"

Today's events are not the fault of anyone at HiRez, but no offense, defending it as if it's normal to have 40 people sh*tting on each other is problematic. They won, yet this was done...

Regardless of the history between players here, it, unfortunately, falls on HiRez looking unprofessional if they allow this on their world championships live stream. Obviously, this isn't their fault, but it's just a shame that someone potentially new to the stream would see that happen in what is supposed to be such a big event. There should be some rules in place not to allow things like this while the cameras are rolling.

Saying that would have gotten someone so offended they would go on a personal vendetta to permaban your linked smite account.

It irks me the wrong way when someone who was super toxic in this sub in the past with a history of removed comments for being rude towards others and making them feel sh*t claims they were banned somewhere bcus someone else was butthurt.

I don't know why the discord mods banned you, but I know that what you claim was a "sarcastic pisstake" was probably just you calling other people names because you disagree with them, if your sub history is anything to go by

What an amazingly exhausting set, Match 2 was such a steamroll but the rest of them were so unpredictable. Truly amazing performance from both teams.
