Hey there, sorry to hear you're having this issue. We just reverted our matchmaking system, so hopefully you're not seeing this happen still. If so, please send us in a support ticket or stop in the official Spellbreak disocrd and drop a message in the #player-support channel so we can try to get this resolved for you.

Hey there, if you feel someone is cheating, please try to record your footage when you think that is happening and send it to me directly or to one of our moderators on the official Spellbreak discord.

We do have systems in place that catch the folks that actually cheat, but it is not something common in our game. You will run into some very good players, as quite a few have been testing/playing for 2+ years.

If you need more help with the ins and outs of Spellbreak, we have a lot of information available as well as a lot of players that are willing to help out! Welcome to Spellbreak, we'll see you in the Hollow Lands🔥

Just started yesterday and I can't put it down. Personally it's been a while to play a game that genuinely excites me as I load up, and regardless of match outcomes I come away happy af.

Welcome to Spellbreak and glad to hear it! Keep having fun, we'll see you in the Hollow Lands!

Very nice! Always wonderful to see mid air fireball shots but this was just incredible. Keep 'em coming!

The knowledge that comes with these potions is just wild.

Hey folks,

We’ve decided to rollback the matchmaking changes that we started making yesterday and continued tweaking today. Unfortunately, no matter what we tried, it wasn’t delivering a better experience for you or meeting the goals we outlined in our previous post. Ultimately, it wasn’t flexible enough to match players up appropriately and that’s not acceptable.

Once the rollback is complete, matchmaking will behave like it did at the launch of Chapter 1 with one additional tweak: Players at Mage Rank 23 and higher will be placed in their own matchmaking bucket allowing them to face players of similar experience.

IMO, the bots are nice in the fact that they don't really break immersion, like you're toying with something that'll never hit you, but I think they way overtuned them. It's hard to explain, like they can miss, but they also NEVER miss. They hit all kinds of frost shots, even through trees, tracking invis, and at close range that they shouldn't be able to imo. Bots that can beat good players shouldn't be the kinds of things that new players have to deal with. There's a good balance to be had between having bots that don't break immersion and bots that are so strong that they obliterate everyone just coming into the game. Maybe there's a lower difficulty setting on bots in lower level lobbies, but in my lobbies at least it's hilariously difficult to beat them sometimes.

Really appreciate this detailed feedback! We'll continue to tune and adjust bots going forward, and some of the things you mentioned are already on our near-term improvement list.

I worked pretty hard on trying to get their aiming to feel believable without being overpowered, but they are definitely too eagle eyed when it comes to noticing stealthy players right now!

I don't have much to add to this thread but I wanted to make it known that we are reading threads like this one and your feedback on Discord. I put a lot of personal effort into these "improved" bots but I never wanted them to make Spellbreak worse for any of our players.

I'm sorry that I don't have more specifically helpful things to say at the moment, but hopefully we will be able to improve the experience for you soon.
