Hey tamers! We’re here today to share some small but considerable milestones reached in console development, as well as an outline of the features coming later down the road with CU1. Let’s dig in!

Switch certification

We’re excited to tell you that we’ve sent the first, preemptive build to Nintendo for Switch certification! If you’re familiar with game development, or you’ve dropped by our Discord server while we were talking about it, certification is a series of processes where the platform holder reviews our game and evaluates its current status to check its adequacy to release on said platform. This is just a first step in the process of getting the game set for the platform, and we’ll have to undergo further certification in the future, when the game is closer to launching, but we’re trying to anticipate and prepare for any possible hiccups by starting out early.

While this Switch build that we’ve just sent is n...

Hello everyone! We have super exciting news to share today: Temtem will be launching on Steam Deck.

As some of you who are tech-savvy might already know, many games compatible with Steam are also naturally compatible with Steam Deck thanks to Proton, and Temtem is part of those!
There are some minor issues that we have to fix before we get the badge, but as you can see, if you’re one lucky Steam Deck owner you’ll be able to play Temtem straight away, right from your Steam library. Your progress is stored in the cloud, so you’ll pick up your adventure exactly where you left it.

This doesn’t, of course, affect our plans to launch on Switch and Xbox Series X&S once we reach version 1.0! The ports are safe and actively being worked on, and once we have a solid date to share with all of you, we will.

For now, Steam Deck up!💜...

These patch notes contain references to quests and events that take place during the last part of the main story quest. Some might be spoilers if you haven’t completed it yet. We recommend finishing the MSQ before reading patch notes!

  • Dojo Rematches have been revisited, tweaked and re-adjusted to include the new changes described below. We’ve also fixed some bugs in the rematches.
  • The final battle of the Main Story quest has been tweaked to be a tad more difficult. While we want it to be achievable, of course, we also don’t want it to feel too easy.
  • We’ve added some explanation and insight into some of the most requested/awaited/delicate balance changes made in this patch. They are in cursive following the change, hope you find them interesting and they add clar...

The following patch notes contain spoilers about the story. Please proceed only if you have already completed the main Campaign quest.

While this patch does not contain balance changes, we’re aware that there are some tweaks to be made and we will get to it once we (and the world) return from the holidays. Balance changes are never as straight-forward as bug fixes, and we don’t want to rush them and make mistakes. We apologize for the inconveniences and thank you for your patience 💚

Hi Tamers! This one’s for the Discord players of Temtem. If you’re a PS5 or Steam user, this does not affect you at all and you can keep enjoying your Temtem adventure.

We recently got news from Discord that they’ve made the decision to deprecate the Store channel functionality and the ability to sell SKUs through Discord. The change will take place in March 1st, 2022. This means that you will not be able to purchase Temtem through Discord past that date, and that the Store channel will be deactivated.

While Discord was a great chance to distribute Temtem in its earliest stages, and we’ve enjoyed a very long run with it, this decision raises concern, as we cannot be sure how long support for the games will be provided, and could potentially complicate the ...

  • We’ve changed the minimum number of players for a Tournament to 21.
  • We’ve also made some improvements to the way Tournaments are created, to ensure the highest possible number of tournaments.
    • Before, the system would try to pack as many players as possible in a tournament until it was filled entirely, even if it meant that 10 other players would not get a tournament at all. Now, it will take into account the number of participants and split them so it can create as many tournaments per league as possible.

  • The instrument delay setting has been reset for everyone. This was supposed to be 0ms when we launched the instrument featured, but it was set to 500ms by default.
    • This will make the toy piano feel better and more responsive.
    • Players are still able to tweak the setting, which is useful in case different players want to sync their tunes to play together.

Hello there Tamers! The second content update of the Cipanku cycle is here to put a bow on the weeb era, so here’s a more detailed look at some of the new features and content added in this update! Be aware that it will contain spoilers about the patch, so read at your own discretion.

While this update, lovingly called CU2, doesn’t uncover any new Temtem or island, it does add some spicy content to the roster: you’ll get to unlock a new building in Cipanku, experience new Quests and gears, a lot of QoL changes and features such as Tournaments and playable musical instruments.

Let’s dig in!

Welcome to our offices!

You’ll be able to walk into Crema Corp in this update, and meet some of us working there. In fact you will help out in various stages of game development, starting from the simplest of tasks and going all the way up to the CEO. But don’t worry, you’ll be compensated for your work in the shape of gea...

  • In order to implement the competitive improvements you can find below, and as we announced on our socials, we’ll be resetting all battle boxes with this patch. The tems and gears will remain in your Temdeck and inventory, but the info on your competitive squads will be erased from our server and you’ll have to prepare your battle boxes again. Remember you can do so from any Temdeck.
  • This patch represents the last content update in the Cipanku cycle. We may publish additional patches with fixes but there won’t be any new content until we release Arbury.
  • This update is fully translated already. Enjoy...

The wait is over, and Cipanku is finally here! Behold the wonderfully pink new island, and everything new it brings to Temtem. Want to take a quick look at it? Check its trailer:

Please, be aware the trailer contains spoilers about new Tems, techniques, and story bits. If you want to do a blind run for Cipanku we recommend not watching it.

Cipanku comes bearing the usual set of new tems, techniques, gears, traits… but it also holds the key to a couple of very relevant new features, including Lairs and the first Mythical Temtem. This is also only the first step on the Cipanku cycle, so expect a couple more surprises later down the road. Let’s dig in!

The first Mythical Temtem

To meet the first Mythical Temtem ever, you’ll need to go through its Lair first. Lairs are a totally new, highly cooperative feature that will require you to form parties with othe...

Hello again, Tamers!

After a year and a bit of Kickstarter Alpha testing and a very hectic stress test, Temtem launched into PC Early Access on January 21, 2020. Now, a little over a year later, we’re excited to share that the upcoming Cipanku update will be, by far, our largest update.

With Cipanku closer than ever (keep reading to find out exactly how close), we feel like it’s an excellent time to make a quick recap of what has gone down, in terms of features, during this first year of Early Access.

So, what’s been added since the PC Early Access launch? Well, here’s the multitude of things we’ve been working on since we may have last seen you! Click the links if you want to know more about a specific feature or patch.

Hello tamers! We hope that you’ve had a good start to 2021 and that, whatever you’re doing in this weird year, you’re having a blast doing it.

We’re writing today to share some insights on the current state of the project, our hopes for the future, and some questions you’ve been sending our way.

First and foremost, let’s talk about the elephant in the room: is our current roadmap up to date? Unfortunately, and as most of you know already, it is not.

We made the current roadmap right after our Early Access launch in February of last yearbefore we knew the sort of year 2020 was going to beand while we’ve always stressed the fact that the roadmap was not set in stone, it certainly doesn’t match reality anymore. We’ve had to twist and change our plans quite a few times since the EA launch, sometimes because of good stuff, other times not so much. I’m s...
