Hello, everyone!

Update 12.1 is here, so please provide any bug reports you may encounter here.

If you're fairly certain you've encountered a bug, we'd like to encourage you to submit it to the Game Support section of the WoWs ticket queues, within a section where bugs are asked for, or to create a post within this sub-forum.

Remove your mods and try again before sending in a bug report as mods tend to be the culprit. YES we know we have made it automatic, but we state this anyways as sometimes players will find a workaround.

DO NOT just move your old mods into the new mods folder, make sure they are updated!

I do ask that you please provide any and all information that you can when reporting an issue.

***Please follow the format below***

Issue: This is where you should explain the problem that you're having. Expected Result: Tell us what should be happening. How to Re...

The feedback was noted. Your crash was the reason for qualifying for "inactivity in battle".

I don't believe you've made any other posts on the topic which would mean you have not had issues in matches which you did not encounter a crash?

2 BBs provide cross-map fire as Battleship range is quite long. The inclusion of two major threats to Cruisers can cause a herding affect and lessen ability for dynamic movement.

Dropping to a single Battleship allows for more mobility in play, though it's reasonable to expect Stalingrad or other large-caliber Cruisers to be used as pocket Battleships for purposes of pinning fire.

The new US Hybrid BBs are being used as a testbed for Hybrids-with-ASW. If they show to be ok, then we'll be able to look at adding them to other Hybrids.

Multiple Battleships with 30mm Overmatch were banned to allow for greater amount of viable Cruiser choices. Also, the Louisiana was banned as she is still new enough to be worth giving her time to shake out first.

There are no banned Cruisers, but there several restricted ones due to the smaller team format. Tankiness is even stronger when there are less guns on the water to coordinate fire with.

Smaland was banned for overperformance in the mode. She was considered a mandatory pick so the ban allows for more DD options.

That is absolutely something to Ticket so we can Action it and investigate further.

If you experience stuff that seem particularly egregious, please send me a DM with the Ticket #.

My efforts are primarily about describing how mechanics work. You can use that information in any setting, because the mechanics don't change in any setting.

Bot CVs follow a set of scripted instructions on what they do. Identifying how that script works means you can use the script against itself. CVs require use of a reticle and aiming, which you can use against the AI.

an you me specific examples of what DD vs what CV? I can knock out a few more videos that would be current as of today.

It's really worth remembering that AA Spec/Buffs work with each other Multiplicatively. Because of that, they amount to a lot more than is expected.

-

Non-Spec'd, Non-DFAA Cruiser:

Player's Base AA: 100% Output

Activates Priority Sector (x 1.5): 100% -> 150% Output

Non-Spec'd Cruiser with DFAA

Player's Base AA: 100% Output

Activates Priority Sector (x 1.5): 100% -> 150% Output

Activates DFAA (x 1.5): 150% -> 225% Output

Spec'd Cruiser with DFAA (6 commander points)

Player's Base AA: 120% Output

Activates Priority Sector (x 1.75): 120% -> 210% Output

Activates DFAA (x 1.5): 210% -> 315% Output

-

TLDR: A spec'd Cruiser that uses Priority Sector and DFAA is putting out over 3 times as much...

Bots are not human players and often require leg-ups to provide an experience to their human adversaries. Knowing enemy ship locations is one of those leg-ups.

The video series I suggested to you does not use smoke. It displays how to read incoming attacks and adjust your movement to mitigate/avoid damage such that I am able to cap three capture points while being the sole focus on a Bot CV.

The Bot CV is tracking you and setting up attack runs even though it can't see you. You are correct in that read. However, the Bot CV cannot start an attack on a target it can't see so use of your concealment/smoke is important.

You can watch a four-part series I made where I went against Tier 8 Bot CVs in a training room and managed to cap all the points (meaning I avoided taking damage during the cap process) without using a smoke. The first is here:

We do have higher-order AI that can be used internally for testing. To my understanding, better AI play was brought to Co-Op and was rejected by the players as they didn't like the "chicken-bots". The AI would play for trades instead of charging forward, which was not the preferred Co-Op gameplay of getting in close and brawling.

If you want a higher threat level from the AI, I would suggest Random Operations. The enemy ships are more numerous and have better accuracy in their fire.

-

If you want to verse an enemy that feels like a player, you could instead just play Random Battles where you have players that feel like players. This is an established format that our ships are tuned to and provides a wide variety of experiences.

WarGaming's flagship title was World of Tanks, which was built as a PvP format. Our titles continued on in providing vehicle combat for players against other players. The majority of our play is player vs player, though the NA server in particular does have the highest group of PvE-only players.

We do have PvE in the form of Co-Op and the newer Random Operations queues. We did release a DevBlog a few months ago regarding the good interactions players have had with Random Operations which will allow us to explore more content in the future.

Random Battles, Co-Op Battles, and Random Operations are our Primary Modes and are available at all hours. Balancing is done using Random Battles as that is our primary mode where players interact with other players (which requires balancing for those interactions).

Ranked is also a main mode, though it is time-gated to encourage participation in the uptime window to allow for consistent queue times.

Some ships are made with less tankiness (or limitations to their tankiness) as part of their design.

Soviet Battleships are well-armored and very resistant to damage when bow-in, so the limited DCP means there is a threat off being unable to put out fires over long engagements even if they stay in their strong, bow-in position.

German Battlecruisers (Schlieffen line) have wonderful offensive capabilities and low concealment, but their armor and limited DCP forces them to be picky about when they can go in swinging with that excellent offense.

Submarines have limited DCP so that after the first few interactions, floods and oil slicks become extremely scary because you can't resolve them while you're being hunted.

Limited DCP is a mechanism that reins in tankiness. There are many other ship options to play for a more measured out, long-term tankiness if you're prefer that playstyle instead.
