As a Jax player, thank you.

This skin was everything I always wanted in a Jax skin, and much more.

The team that put this together really spent a lot of time studying Jax’s play pattern and working with Designers to deliver the best Jax experience possible. Really happy to see the effort pay off and get recognized by Jax lovers. :)

Huge kudos to the skins team that worked super hard on this Jax Legendary.

Jax is an older champion with a pretty simple kit, so finding the right places to invest animation, VFX, SFX, audio, narrative, and 3D time can be really challenging.

We don’t always get it right, but we’re super proud of Mecha Kingdoms Jax. We hope Jax players truly love the experience and fantasy in-game.

I know that you probably can't, but would it be possible to just outright tell us if we're getting an Aurelion skin with this set? You don't have to say yes, but a hard no would be appreciated, because that dragon teaser at the start gave us hope.

There is not an Aurelion Sol skin launching with this release.

So MK skins not the 2020Lunar skins?

There will not be “Lunar Revel” skins in 2020. Mecha Kingdoms will be the skin release for that time period.

hi i know im late to the thread but does this mean that there will not be an opportunity to buy any of the snow/christmas themed skins this year either?

Snowdown skins will be back and available during the 9.24 patch.

Mecha Kingdoms sounds like they drew skin theme names out of a hat and combined them:

Blood Moon Popstars

Project Star Guardian

Elderwood Snow Day

Definitely Not KDA

Tales From the Dark Star

Pool Noon

PROJECT Academia

Also it seems like Mecha skin line is getting a redesign similar to High Noon did in 2018 with Lucian, Thresh and Urgot.

I don’t mind but I do hope they still continue Lunar Revel skins because some of those skins are absolutely amazing like the Wu Kong skin from 2016, Vi and Garen skins from 2017, WW in 2018 and TK skin from 2019.

Appreciate the note on the Lunar Revel skins. To your first point, this is definitely the product of our teams investing a bit more into thematic development and putting in time and effort to more fully develop worlds as we build skins for champions in them.

Look like a new universe to me. The mecha skins are more futuristic. Whereas this one seem more like it is in the past.

Correct this is an entirely new thematic universe and skin line. Mecha is set in more of a futuristic time and place whereas Mecha Kingdoms is meant to be an interesting juxtaposition between sci-fi mechs and an ancient time and place.

Absolutely beautiful work Minaxie. It always blows away our skins teams to see how quickly some players make fan art.

Just wanted to offer a little piece of feedback too: my personal favorite winter skins are Snow Day, where it's just champs in the winter gear! It's one of the more casual skin lines which i really appreciate Edit: a typo

Definitely has an appeal that’s potentially wider than the more holiday centric ones. Thanks for engaging constructively and providing feedback, we really appreciate it.

Hi, here's my personal take as someone who LOVES the winter skins. Skins like Frozen Prince Mundo that have a slightly more "general" theme and quality chromas are among my favorites and something I use all year. Skins like Snow Faun Poppy are lovely too, but feel better to use during the holidays. I urge you guys to revisit the Snowdown skins and keep trying new things like you did last year!

Thanks again OakWheat. Really appreciate the specific feedback and thoughts around this thematic.

I appreciate you being candid with us. That being said, I think Kayle would have been beautiful as a Sugar Plum Fairy or Earnest Elf for Snowdown! She has the pointy ears already! Here's hoping for next year.

Thanks for the suggestion OakWheat. :)

Random unsolicited and probably non-representative opinion: my interest in Snowdown skins dropped quite a bit once Snowdown stopped really being an event (Poro King dropped for example). Snowdown skins are nice but it's so much easier to want them when it feels like League Christmas is a special time, and recently League Christmas has just been skins for me.

Appreciate the caveats as well as the feedback. :)

Any champion that has additional complexity (models, animations, VFX, transformations) usually results in additional complexity for their skins. We’re getting better at building content in ways that make it easier to touch up or build upon in the future, but also in order to push the envelope and make a champion that’s truly fresh gameplay / fantasy wise, we have to make something that’s complex for future skins. ;)

I just have a small note about this (obviously you know the stats better than I) but I think "winter" themed skins like Soraka's would be more popular than pure "Christmas/ Santa" skins for snow down. So maybe do more generic themed ones like that instead, because that skin really is so gorgeous.

But each cycle you can do one or two fun ones like Kandy Kayn and Christmas Eve.

Appreciate the suggestion and definitely an approach we’ll consider in the future among others. :)

Ah gotcha, could I also ask if you and Adriaan are going to still put out some messaging for Eternals and Prestige skins for 2020

We’ll be announcing the roadmap of Prestige skins for the first half of 2020 come January. Also we’ve been making a bunch of changes to Eternals that you’ll hear about come the start of 2020.
