Sure bro! Welcome to the sub!

First of, the games name is Anthem, as I'm sure you know by now.

Anthem is a game set on a planet that was left half-finished by the "gods" creating the world. Their tools and relics litter the world of Anthem, creating this incredibly hostile place to live, because at any moment, any one of these tools might activate and instigate natural disasters, create horrible monsters, or otherwise dangerous things might happen. Because of this, the inhabitants of the planets live in the few places they've found that are relatively safe (like Fort Tarsis, where YOU live), but to venture outside into the world, you need to be somewhat of a superhuman.

Enter the Javelin, a handcrafted exoskeleton suit with incredible weaponry. Javelins are what allows people to venture out into the world and explore, find treasure or resources, or help people in need. The suits are very rare, and require special care to maintain, usually...

We reduced melee damage since this build also. It was causing people to not use their other stuff.

No, like constantly. 24/7 streams of Anthem play, forever.

Hmmmm. That’s a good idea. Will look into it.

You mean as a new tweet?

We are ALREADY doing regular dev streams :)

Hahaha. There was no world in which I was actually upset at the comment. This video is very funny however.

This is too funny. Hahaha.

Are they so big that it'll take 10 years just to get a god roll? Because as far as I know, you can have up to 4 inscriptions on legendary gear. (correct me if I'm wrong) The amount of time it'll take to get 4 good rolls on one gear and the time it takes to get a gear makes me concerned that I am going to get one god roll a year. So there are two scenarios: (1) Each loot pool has an insane amount of possible inscriptions or (2) each loot pool has too little. Personally I want it to be the first choice, but if it is too big, then maybe perhaps have some kind of item that influences the type of inscriptions you're more likely to get. Like some card that you can set your most preferred rolls like melee only or thrust only. Idk, what do you all think?

Edit: I'm all for taking a long time to get god rol...

This is one of the things we will have to monitor carefully. We have to balance things that are hard to get and feel rewarding vs things that are ludicrous to get and make people want to stop playing.

Honestly it will take a little time to get it right.

  • When crafting recipes in the Forge will we see the possible inscriptions we could incur, and the percentage ranges before we craft the gear/weapon?
  • Do some weapons/gear roll specific inscriptions for that type of weapon/gear, or are all inscriptions RNG based and we could incur any of the 100 or so inscriptions in the database pool?

No.

Yes. There are a different pools for different things, we probably won’t share all the details of that. Not yet anyway.

Yes as u/AnthemJavelin states. It’s just a Twitter notifications thing u/BenIrvo, but your replies still pop up through the discord feed I created so I still see them all. I always go through your tweets and replies just to double check though. :)

That’s interesting, should i not reply? And make new tweets? Then I would have to tag people though?

These write-ups only take about a hour or so to do depending on how much information is shared out in the Social Media world. u/BenIrvo is the sneaky one as he likes to hide his answers like he hides his alleged koalas. :)

Overall I create this content for you and the community as I know not everyone is able to follow the info as much as I can.

I hide my answers?? How? I don’t mean to :)

That was a seriously great stream!

Question though...for the storm, if a group of enemies are primed with lightning damage and I detonate that with a lightning detonator for the combo the electrical aoe will spread to the enemies. Does the aoe damage stack? Meaning a group of 5 enemies all hit with lightning will all damage eachother?

Yep

I was originally looking into wether or not Anthem would have cross platform play. While it looks like that may or may not happen, I ran into an article that spoke about cross platform saves instead.

https://www.windowscentral.com/bioware-looking-anthem-cross-platform-saves

This would solve a major problem for me in that I actually have a need to play it on both PC and PS4. My wife has a disability that prevents her from being able to sit up at a desk and play PC games anymore. It's just too inconvenient to use a M/KB setup laying down and controller support for games on PC is a shit show most of the time. So, she has pretty much moved to being a console gamer. She is all about Anthem right now as she loves pretty much everything to do with BioWare so I already bought two copies of Anthem for us on PS4. But...I have a lot of friends that will be playing on PC and don't min...

A Producer Bromance Emerges

Gameplay Producer Darrin McPherson and Lead Producer Ben Irving sat down with the Anthem community to present the highly anticipated stream covering loot and progression. It was a stream filled with new information such as loot rarities, random rolls called, gear score, new passive slots unveiled, how combos/statuses work, and even some gameplay with a high powered Ranger at the end. We’ll cover these in their own sections one by one to ensure that we are able to cover them thoroughly and clearly. You can watch the entire stream here.

Before we begin, we should point out the disclaimer that Ben gave n...
