I don't, but I bet it sounded great!

That's so much weirder then, if this isn't intended, since the "bug" would be swapping out a single audio file from a years-old story chapter lmao

Stranger things have happened. We once had an NPC say, "I'm getting too old for this sh*t!" make its way live. That was a fun bug to hotfix.

If it's a bug where the game is failing to "interrupt" the original VA with the static SFX, it's really funny that y'all had Steve Blum say "clusterfudge" in the first place.

The FX are "baked" into the voice file, so it's probably a case of import error. (But a true audio professional will investigate. I'm just theorizing.) But yeah, when we're in the studio we have the actors say a goofy swear in case something like this happens. LOL

Thanks for the heads up. Bugged it and sent it along to the right folks to look into.

TBH I have raided on Steam Deck. Did it for Extra Life back in November. :)

I got the 512GB model, but I'm pretty sure it works on all of them! I did pick up a 1TB microSD card for additional storage, but I installed GW2 on the internal nvme drive.

Enjoying it a ton, actually! Been using a community template that one of our QA embeds made (SamCW's soulslike) since it uses the triggers and buttons for skills and uses face buttons or the bottom buttons to "shift" skills. Been playing my warrior on Deck since it's less complex to play than my ele.

So, even though Deck is technically unsupported currently it works pretty well IMO. I've limited frames to 45 to conserve battery life, and in most cases will get 30-45, except in busy fights or really elaborate environments with lots of...

Time zone issue, I see devs all the time. I just did DE with Roy a few weeks ago, a full EoD meta train with Bobby Stein a few days before that, and I have both Complement the Creator and Carry the Creator achievements for doing strikes/raids with an Anet employee. Every other day I see an Anet tag in Mistlock or Arborstone.

Are they super high-end players? Not really, but I wouldn't reasonably expect people who spend 8-10 hours a day working on something to be super enthusiastic or engaged with it during their free time.

I play the game every night. Only do raids and fractals on special occasions. Mostly do open world stuff, metas, story, etc. since it's casual friendly and easy on steam deck.

There are actually a lot of devs who play the game but some choose not to tag up, and others may play on alt accounts. We're in there.

That's the hope! Note that I'm not the hiring manager but would likely interface with this person a bit.

Also of note: the salary range of any job posting coming out of WA state typically represents the bottom and top of a band, and the final agreed upon rate is determined by a variety of factors including years of experience, cost of living, etc. that will fall within those two numbers. Just something to keep in mind when applying.

That's kind of interesting? Like, why would they accept someone working remote from NC but not SC? MA but not NH or VT?

West Coast only would make sense, (time zones, easy to travel if required), but if they open it to East Coast states, why only those?

Note: I am not an HR professional or a lawyer so if you want to know more you should consult a professional. But here's how I understand it. The TL;DR is that local/state labor laws vary from place to place, so a company has to navigate those issues to be compliant to be able to hire people who live there but work remotely for a company headquartered elsewhere. We previously could only hire in WA, CA, and TX but have expanded to more states.

Ok, I don't know how popular this may or may not be with other players but here goes. Coming from someone who was very active during LS1, loved the story and lore (thus far)... no one could tell WHAT the hell Anet was doing with this Scarlet story. There's some stuff going on in Southsun and something is pushing ocean life out? Sure. Now we randomly had dredge and flame legion pair up. Uh, ok? Back to southsun. Now dragon bash. Also all of the festivals at the time were considered LS content. This story was so back and forth you would have had whiplash trying to keep up. Here's some steampunk pirates. Ok also a big toxic tree. Now a giant marionette. Anet's reasoning was that they wanted it to feel like an epic TV series that sometimes different episodes talked about different things. We learned this later on I think, but at the time it was so jarring. And a BIG COMPLAINT was... what about the dragons?? Isn't this game about dragons?? (Funny how the players felt that way b...

So you know what Anet did? Retroactively decided Scarlet was a Mordy villain all along. I will die on this hill. Short of an Anet member coming to me and telling me this was the plan all along, well... I still wouldn't believe them. Adding Mordy at the end was to save face and satisfy the players. That's why none of the sh*tball that was LS1 made sense.

No, her being an agent of Mordy all along was always part of the plan, hence Omadd's machine and all the elements leading up to the reveal at the end of S2. S1 was a lot of things back in 2013--frantically paced, hard to follow, and somewhat of a player-facing mystery at first. But we ended essentially where we planned to from the start, though some of the details morphed along the way due to scoping, scheduling, feedback, and an 11th hour decision to not kill off a particular character.
