To the OP:

Many, if not most of these features you ask for are actually already implemented in the newest iteration of the test server. You can read about those changes in the dev blog here:

@Slurpee_2017
Ship_Smasha uses the Fenyang as a reference for it's model. The standard penetration on it's HE shells is 17mm, which is not enough to penetrate most ships outside their superstructure. It does, however, have higher than normal Fire chances, so you are forced to make a choice when using it:

Take IFHE (Inertia Fuse for HE Shells) and pen 21mm with your HE shells but start fewer fires

Do not take IFHE and penetrate almost nothing with your HE shells but start lots of fires

Both the Fenyang and the Ship Smasha also have advanced penetration angles on their AP shells. This means that you can fire your AP shells and penetrate at sharper angles than most other ships.
I hope that helps :)

See - Supercruisers are my absolute favorite style of ship in the game. I like that they can outmuscle other cruisers and can even go toe-to-toe with some BB's if you're a skilled player.
Most Supercruisers tend to have a very nice niche for themselves as well. Napoli is a deceptively well-armored and fast cruiser that gets in close and "traps" something with it's secondaries and torpedoes. Siegfried and Agir have very strong upper hull plating and very strong AP shells. Alaska is an absolute monster in a variety of ways with the advanced AP pen angles and radar, while the Carnot is this gigantic speedy HE-slinger.
Lots of fun, the Supers :)

I also wish their secondaries were Napoli-level, but it's hardly fair to say that the boats are trash =D

Generally I feel like getting the T10 ships first is the right choice due to their value for competitive modes like Ranked, CB's, and King of the Sea - but Siegfried is up there in my list of favorite ships :)

Siegfried is still a monster, brother. Don't count it out completely just because the secondaries aren't laser-guided like they were at one point.
Agir and Siegfried still have more-accurate-than-normal secondaries :)

Guys...
To simply state that Wargaming is outright lying about the drop-rates is borderline not ok. We've taken the major step to be more transparent about how the crates work, what the percentages are, and even instituted the guaranteed drop mechanic.

To suggest that the company is maliciously posting false statistics is a serious accusation. You should, at the very least, have something to back that up besides "I don't trust WG".

World of Warships is not a single-player game, so it's unlikely something like this would ever happen.
Operations were recently reset with new rewards and the Halloween Operations were given higher difficulty levels to try and spice them up a bit!
I suggest you try them

Hi!
Until you posted this I had not noticed how many things are T6. I don't play operations much myself as I play Randoms / Clan Battles / Ranked mostly.
If you are sticking to mostly Operations, then yes you will definitely find that to be the case. If you are in Ranked and stuck in Bronze, then yes that will definitely be the case.
If you can make it up to Silver League Ranked you will find yourself in T8 and can pull out much beefier BB's like Alabama, Bismarck, Vladivostok, or heavy cruisers like Baltimore and Prinz Eugen. DD's finally get their concealment module and start dropping their conceal below 6.0km - and the mighty Akizuki can spam HE all day while Cossack/Lightning get mega-conceal.
I've said it before here in the forums so I'm not afraid to point it out - the Primary Game Mode is randoms. I understand that not everyone fancies randoms as their go-to way to play, but that is where you can find the most variety of gameplay and defini...

I still like the Anchorage fine, it does feel to me at times like a handicapped Baltimore though...
Overall the DY ships are much stronger than people would like to believe.

I agree :)
Trying to determine how a 10% raise to the freeboard of the Petro would affect it across thousands of competitive games is not the same as... well.... DOING it across thousands of games.
This is why the nerfs / buffs are generally small. Add a little here and there and see how the numbers are affected across thousands of games.
So you're correct - there is a "sweet spot" for the Petro. Right now DPM vs tankiness are being weighted against each other directly. It could always be the case that Petro may have the freeboard raised a bit to allow broadsides to punish her more - but we have to be careful that she doesn't just become a slightly different Moskva... because the Moskva and Stali have extremely vulnerable broadsides and that sets them apart from Petro, but I'd argue they have more reliable guns and better HE.

I completely agree with your assessment, Edgecase. Raising the freeboard and opening the citadel up would have little effect on bow-in tankiness, you're right.
All it would do is punish it harder for exposing it's side. That would reduce overall tankiness, but not affect it's ability to sit bow-in and deflect damage off the 50mm plates.
So my question again is, how do we gauge how much it could conceivably be raised before it's effectively a worthless ship?
