EA is publishing an unknown developers first game. You're not wrong that EA is a massive publisher, but that alone won't save an unknown devs multiplayer-only, pay-to-play game. And if you're going to take the time to be sarcastic about it, don't forget to set the !remindme so you can come back a month after the game's release and rub it in my face how completely wrong I was.

Unknown devs is a bit harsh. The dev team comprises of dev vets from Halo, COD, PVZGW, Gears, etc.

It’s their first title as a studio, but the team itself isn’t unknown.

New content with every season. Maps, heroes, modes.

(And the content will be free)

This.

We used to have the counter - and/or name of the banned person - in the chat scroll. That didn’t get implemented in BFV as the UI changed and it was deprioritized, but I definitely agree at least showing the number of bans per day or a scroll of those banned would help reduce the concern the community has that nothing is being done.

And you're still part of DICE, together with Freeman the only source of the already spare information we got about the debacle that BFV was. So of course we're going to adress our complaints to you, especially when you give funny answers like these. :-)

I actually see the cheat bans list daily, so the first part is 100% wrong.

If you refuse to report anyone, why tag me? I'm (as you already stated that you know I'm a CM - not the only one - so you know this) not able to do anything with these claims.

And I've never had a problem with sharing your frustration or complaints. EVER.
I take issue with you feeling it appropriate to insult or abuse.

To be honest Braddock, Dice has given us no reason to trust them with cheaters. You already know this Braddock. Have a little sympathy for what he is saying.

I didn't say it was perfect, and I totally understand the frustration. There's no doubt about that as it's in my reports I send to the studio team and leadership teams.

But being abusive/insulting to me (or Freeman) isn't something I have to be okay with, just as you wouldn't accept that from someone.

Wanna share your frustration? I'm here to listen (and if I have an answer to share, I will). Want to go beyond just sharing frustration to pointed attacks, snide insults, or outright abuse? No. Full stop.

Reporting cheaters to you is the same as a tumbling over rice sack in China - nothing else will happen.

So I guess we can assume your answer is a joke? :)

You can assume whatever you want.

Fact of the matter is, I’m not part of anti-cheat nor do I have the ability to ban folks. So you can follow the process and report them properly, or you can continue to be abusive and I won’t see any of your comments going forward.

Saw it, read it, appreciated the feedback you shared and am sharing it with the team.

Thanks, Jay.

Thanks for the quick reply man. And no worries, like I said I know you're a busy guy.

Can't wait for those new additions to Community Games, but I have a feeling it's going to be difficult to fill hardcore lobbies without permanent servers, and the ability to search for hardcore style lobbies.

I'm officially done bugging you about hardcore mode. Seriously though I appreciate the communication over the past year or two.

But if I write one last comment explaining my thoughts on RSP, hardcore mode, and why they're necessary for a Battlefield game to succeed, will you be able to pass that information on to the right people at DICE?

I know it might fall on deaf ears but I just want one last chance to let the team know how much those two things have meant to my friends and I over the past 15 years.

Not only will they let players play the way they want therefore increasing player satisfaction, I strongly believe if done right they'll improve EA/...

If you want to send me an email, I GUARANTEE it will be seen by the teams working on the next Battlefield.

That's something I've seen work on. :)

Also congrats to this complete piece of shit that not only cheats, but also has a racist user name, with the n-word mixed with 3 Ks.

I'm wondering if /u/braddock512 can get on this somehow.

On it.

Hey Jeff, I'm happy to hear this too. I'm hoping it gets some cool features for like authenticity mode or anything like that.

Also I was wondering if you missed this post? Or what?

The JU 52 has been something I've been asking for since I first played Airborne mode, so any word on that and the other stuff I mentioned there would be much appreciated!

I don't have any info on the JU-52, but I do know that previous items that popped into the Armory then popped out will continue rotating through.

RE: an authenticity toggle - there's no indication that one is being developed. From my limited (but growing) understanding of development, it would likely require a major update to implement something like this.
Here's why:
If it was client-side, the game would need to scan all players connected to said server, using specific cosmetics as a template of what is/isn't allowed. Then we'd have two choices - prevent folks from spawning until they change their outfits (which is forcing someone who wants to customize their soldier how they want to change - and they'd probably end up leaving that server, resulting in further unbalanced matches, etc.) OR automatically display on the end-user's side whatever "authentic" player sets would be available and apply them to that user who toggled "authentic" (it would be only visible t...

This is great to hear, but, the question remains around the “When”.

Community game improvements have been talked about since before the feature was added in. I don’t think it’s unfair to to ask when we’ll finally see it come to fruition.

I don't have a date I can share with you. It's undergoing major work to add various features, and as soon as we get into the testing and QA'ing phase of things with a more secure date, I will share it. It's absolutely something I want to talk about - but I want to set the right expectation on timelines.

Thanks for the response, I really appreciate it. I’m so used to video game subreddits being echo chambers of complaints so it’s really nice to see some feedback from devs. In hindsight I guess some of my suggestions (like the new currency and the refunds) were a little far fetched so sorry about that. I like the idea of increasing the payout for daily challenges, but I was also wondering if we could ever get the end of round CC reward turned back on? Battlefield matches are notoriously long so it was nice to get a little reward for doing well in a 30-45 minute intense gunfight.

The EOR CC payout is something we also talked about today as well.

I had some thoughts here if you cared to read them. I know you're busy so no rush. I just really miss playing Battlefield man. My friends do too

Man, I had the page open to reply to you yesterday but just got crazy busy. I'm so sorry.

Okay - brace yourself. No, there isn't a hardcore mode being worked on. HOWEVER - they are working on a lot of features and tools AND MUTATORS for Community Games, so you can make your own.
