What is going on? The backpack and chest are dropping tomorrow but the talent is not even working and nobody talks about it!

I got no response on the ubisoft bug report forum, no response from the ticket I submitted to ubisoft support and still no update on the known issues list.

This situation confuses the hell out of me.

We have identified the visual bug and will have a fix for it in the next client update. We haven't been able to reproduce any cases where the effects are actually not working. If you have videos I can forward them to the team. Thanks!

So far we were only able to confirm that the UI element isn't shown anymore but I've added the thread to our investigation.

While we have seen the reports we are also seeing players that do not report changes in NPC behavior. Equally, we don't see them internally. The investigation is therefore a bit slow but we're looking into it. We triple checked to confirm that the 9.1 changes were not overwritten or excluded. What some players are experiencing seems to be something new.

We're looking to do a smaller client patch to address some parts of the game, for example the issues with the leader boards. If you have specific balance topics you think have not been highlighted enough please feel free to share them here!

Hey. From the Patch Notes:

Backpack Talent

  • No longer reduces number of stacks lost on missed shots
  • (New) Increases total weapon damage gained per stack of Striker's Gamble from 0.5% to 0.65%.

This means that the talent no longer makes you lose less stacks when equipping the talent. It does not mean that you do not lose any stacks by wearing the backpack talent. The "no longer" refers to its behavior before the patch, as in "Before it did this, now it doesn't do that anymore."

The behavior of the talent has changed and it got a new addition to compensate for the change to the original behavior.

Yes, it's retroactive. Will be the same way it currently works.

No progress so far on this. The implemented solution is pretty frustrating for players, waiting for a Hive to fully come off cooldown, etc. The team is looking at changes for that but it will likely take some time.

It's either rank incompetence or willful malice at this point. Possibly both. You're cordially invited to tell the class which one it is.

I mean, it's simply just hard. I think the idea that Patch Notes are easy to do because we make the game is something that makes sense from the outside. But documentation and all the moving parts in software development make writing these huge lists difficult.

Yeah, being better and making sure Patch Notes are always as correct as can be is definitely something we are working on. I worked for both Blizzard and Ubisoft and I talk to a lot of community managers and patch notes writers out there, it's not an easy feat but absolutely something that needs to be done well.

There's very little reason for us to leave nerfs out of public Patch Notes, especially when they are larger in scale. You guys are not blind and know your stuff, obviously you will figure these things out. The turnaround on the PTS Patch Notes was really tight and things get lost.

We cannot hide nerfs from you and we don't want to.

But instead you rather "beat around the bush" wasting our time/blaming customers or the platform than trying to get a bug fixed that your team created.

To fix the bug we need to know what causes it. We are also looking at the error logs we are receiving. But getting player information is vital to find out what is exactly happening when the game is crashing.

Just wanted to chime in and say we are forwarding the feedback around the proposed changes to status effects to the team and the devs are discussing adjustments.

As the initial reaction on Friday seemed to stem mostly from reading the Patch Notes we are happy to see players having tested the PTS now and share their thoughts. Posts like this one are really helpful to provide detailed and actionable feedback and are much appreciated.
