System Requirements are a statement about performance and compatibility.

 

POPCNT may be a relatively obscure CPU instruction but the requirements for the game were chosen so that the stated compatible CPUs and newer would all have that instruction available.

 

The argument that older, relatively high performance CPUs should be able to play doesn't fly specifically due to this missing CPU instruction.

Thanks for posting. Running your hardware at stock clock speeds is a well known troubleshooting step and is even more relevant these days as so many manufacturers are doing 'Factory Overclocking'.

You have some failed Windows updates in your Dxdiag, run Windows Update and install any available updates.

 

You say you do not have the XC-705 now, please generate and post a new dxdiag if your issue continues after installing the Windows Updates.

That looks like your GPU is overheating.

 

If you are overclocking, try running at stock clock speeds.

On taking a second look here, it may be worthwhile checking with your laptop manufacturer how to disable NVIDIA Optimus.

 

I do not want to give you specifics as you may need to change settings in your BIOS which your manufacturer can help you with.

 

p.s. It would be awesome if that resolves your issue and if you could post your results here too (positive or negative) please.
