Have enjoyed watching this come together! Wall Guys is objectively S Tier though.

Proud of you
For real I would love this.
What about making the dive a semi-tackle that knocks the grabber over?
This is something we've played around with a bit! Generally what you find is that you need a 'warning' before something this aggressive happens. It ends up being really hard to balance that with the dive needing to be instant for platforming.
It's okay as it's part of the core mechanic that defines this game but I hope to have some other mechanic to counter it. Just some other viable way of winning against grabbers without grabbing yourself.
It's almost always a losing battle if other players decided to start grabbing you. Swift cheeky movement to avoid them isn't enough especially against the better players as they can predict it.
I do think that ultimately I agree with this take! Grab can often end up being the 'strongest' route and it would be interesting to play around with a counter that made it more risky to attempt a grab. Always open to suggestions! It's a tricky one to solve without adding too much complexity.
I always love the rock paper scissors of a good fighting game, where 'grabbers' can be countered, but the counter itself also leaves you open to a new, cyclical strategy.
Vaulting is absolutely fine, as long as they keep refreshing them every so often.
Honestly, as someone who was playing this game at a near daily basis for a while but haven't played in months, I have to disagree that vaulting is fine.
Regularly rotating the vault would at least solve part of the problem, of coming back to play once a month and seeing stomping ground again, but it wouldn't solve the problem that the current playlist rotation is too small and gets boring within a single night of playing, let alone potentially playing a couple nights a week.
I mentioned this on Discord, but one thing to note is that our Vaulting strategy is separate from some cool stuff we have planned for Creative content. Looking forward to sharing more on that soon!

You're all the Media to my Tonic x
Took them 2 years
The technology just wasn't there
At least it seems to be a circumstance mechanic, like sneaking in Sweet Thieves. Only one or two rounds will make use of it.
Any surface that's slippery slime or ice makes use of the new dive slide mechanic! Should lead to some fun new strats in old levels.
I have to say, hearing from you guys in this seems to help uplift the subreddit. Space is also my favorite theme, so this new season has been a treat. Thanks for that.
By the way, is there any possibility of adding more cool textures to skins like the Ultimate Idol? I'd happily spend show bucks on another variant of it. Galactic patterns look way too cool to me.
Yeah, it's a tough balance. Personally I'm busier than I've ever been and I have a lot less time to write carefully considered posts. I also feel like at this point action is really what counts- hopefully the quality and impact of the changes this Season speak to that somewhat.
Lastly, I feel like we all need to look after our own mental health somewhat and discourse with any passionate community can be draining at times. I'm usually here lurking though! Thanks for playing bean game x
Have you considered adding it to solo mode? That way players could learn it too without causing grief to others.
We have! The tricky thing is that we can only have a maximum of 8 solo players, which would make this a final. We know players don't enjoy us squeezing in an extra round at this player count (hello, Button Bashers with 6 players).
Would y'all enjoy Pixel Painters as a final in theory? I generally like when our finals are nice and visual and you can SEE the player win, which Pixel Painters will never really have.
We're definitely keeping an eye on Pixel Painters and the general understanding of that round! I think there are some great points in this thread around the fact that it's basically impossible to counter a slightly clueless team-mate who's convinced every light needs to be on, wheras in most Team Rounds it at least feels like you can try and carry.
We've got some 'Pixel Painter Trials' shows coming up which should help players learn the rounds, and generally player's understandings should get better over time. I'd say that we're definitely seeing more players just 'not get it' than we'd expected.
It's a learning experience for us though! We want to continue pushing Fall Guys to weird and unexpected places, and Pixel Painters is a bit of an experiment to see quite how co-operative players online can be. It might be that 4 players squads really ends up asking a little too much and that it's more at home in duos, for example. Maybe there are some clever improveme...
Read moreHey Joe, could you guys consider to add an option to toggle on/off the "GRAB CROWN" label in finals? It was definitely a great idea for the newer players, but not as much for more experienced ones. I would love to be able to turn it off.
Also, an auto crown grab option could make sense, specially considering the auto ledge grab that was added months ago.
I'm pretty sure you can in the settings menu? I'll check tomorrow!
/u/trichoglossusbee can we please change the button colors in the button hunt mode? Colorblind players cannot see the difference!
Not Bee but we're looking into this!
We tried it and it gave the entire studio motion sickness. True story.
What a lovely story to start the day with!
It always makes me really happy to read stories of Fall Guys bringing people together like this. The game's not perfect by a long shot and we have lots of stuff we know we need to improve to really do it justice, but knowing it can impact people in this way always makes me incredibly proud of what the team have achieved. Best of luck with your future Crowns and please make sure you share photos of those costumes come Halloween!
Love these! Homing Blast Balls sound especially dastardly.
Will pay out Showbucks for a carry
