Vermintide 2 is particularly demanding on the CPU like you say, so I can only recommend you address the underlying overheating issue at hand. Lowering the ‘Worker Thread’ count within the launcher’s ‘Settings’ menu may lessen the demand on the CPU.

This is not applicable to PC - I don’t believe there’s any confirmed decision on when the new season will start, but we’ll provide you with plenty of notice

It’s my understanding you will have plenty of time to complete it once the patch is shipped, as we’re wary people will be seriously upset otherwise!

Comment

I appreciate it’s been a long time :frowning: It’s my understanding this will be patched in early June. I will see what other options we have.

Comment

Your installation is incomplete/corrupted - have you tried the Verify Integrity of Game Files option?:

  1. Right-click Vermintide 2 in your Steam library sidebar
  2. Select ‘Properties’
  3. Select the ‘Local Files’ tab
  4. Select the ‘Verify the Integrity of Game Files’ button. This may take several minutes
  5. When complete, close and reopen Steam
  6. Launch Vermintide 2 as normal

Thank you for letting us know - we’ll have a look in to these!

Have asked - will report back to you!

That should solve it. Let me know if the issue persists after enabling it.

Comment

There will be an upcoming optimisation patch, especially with the recent influx of performance complaints, so I can only recommend holding out for that. Failing that, or if you’d rather not wait - providing Vermintide 2 was purchased via Steam, I’m happy to contact them and request that they issue you a refund.

Fingers crossed for you.

This does appear to be GPU-related, at least from one of the logs. There are some other solutions to try here: [PC] How to Resolve GPU Crashes – Fatshark

Sorry to hear this, we are somewhat limited here due to you being on a mobile connection. :frowning:

I presume broadband isn’t an option at the moment?

Comment

From what I’m understanding, it was because our developers thought Double Buffering produced better results

Comment

Sorry for the delay, I have answers for you:

  1. We do use Flip Model - it’s a requirement for DirectX 12
  2. We use Double Buffering, but you can see how you like Triple Buffering by adding this line into the user_settings.config:
    buffer_count = 3

Sorry about this. This is a known crash, and one we’re working on resolving ASAP.

Comment

Sorry about this. :frowning: This is a known issue, to be patched very soon.

This is the CreatureSpawner mod. You’ll need to contact the mod author via the Steam Workshop page.

This seems to be related to your GPU. A clean GPU driver re-installation can usually sort issues of this nature: [PC] How to Resolve GPU Crashes – Fatshark
