Sorry about this @Samoly. We’re investigating these particular crashes (‘Deadlocks’).

In this situation, it can be helpful to perform a ‘Selective Startup’. A ‘Selective Startup’ ensures nothing other than the essential services are running on your PC, and can help identify whether an application running on your PC is interfering with Vermintide 2. To do this, please:

  1. Press the Windows key
  2. Type ‘msconfig’ and select ‘System Configuration’
  3. On the ‘General’ tab, select ‘Selective Startup’
  4. Deselect ‘Load startup Items’
  5. Reboot your PC
  6. Launch Vermintide 2 as normal, and see if the issue persists

Could you send me the URL to your Steam profile please @tigtot?

Thank you for letting us know - we’ll check it out. Does this occur regularly for you?

Thank you for letting us know - I’ve added this to our database for investigation. Sorry for the inconvenience!

Try re-launching Vermintide 2 please @tigtot. I believe this error is occasionally shown to new players.

Thank you for the GUIDs. Data corruption is certainly an issue here, but it is odd that you had a couple of days without it. Have a think - was there anything different about your PC during that time?

In cases where the errors continue to occur even after using the Verify Integrity of Game Files option, we consider it to be persistent data corruption - which can unfortunately occur for a number of reasons.

We have a list of solutions in the article linked below, which we’ve created based on what’s worked for players in the past:

Do you have ASUS Aura Sync. RGB Fusion or iCUE installed on your PC?

Comment

Those sorts of issues aren’t likely to present themselves in the logs unfortunately :frowning: when did this all start for you?

This is a particularly mysterious crash - I’ve queried this with our developers. Apologies I can’t offer any immediate solutions right now.

Thank you Harridas - I’ve added this to our database!

Is a crash report (containing a long ‘GUID’ string) produced when this occurs? If so, please copy and paste it in here. Either that, or screenshots of any errors displayed please!

Comment

As above, regrettably we are unable to help with this. Sorry! :frowning:

I wouldn’t put too much weight on the Executable missing lines, I have them also! I’m sure there’s some logical reason for it that I don’t know…

What happens when you attempt the Selective Startup? Are you unable to select the checkboxes?

Comment

FYI: our developers are aware the Steam Beta has been unsuccessful.

Unfortunately those handling this have been away since before Christmas until (I think) tomorrow.

Hopefully we’ll see some movement on this soon.

There’s no consistency in the crash data unfortunately. Tell me more about your new RAM - how many sticks do you have in there, and are they all matching?

This is related to our anti-cheat service, Easy Anti-Cheat, and is something they will need to investigate.

Our Easy Anti-Cheat representative is keen to hear from players with such issues. If I were to send you his email address, would you be willing to send him this report? It’s possible he may ask you for some extra information.

Oh! Perhaps it’s due to something else on the PC. Try a ‘Selective Startup’ - which ensures nothing other than the essential services are running on your PC, and can help identify whether an application running on your PC is interfering with Vermintide 2. To do this, please:

  1. Press the Windows key
  2. Type ‘msconfig’ and select ‘System Configuration’

  4. Deselect ‘Load startup Items’
  5. Reboot your PC
