@Avakon It would be appreciated if you could upload your most recent console logs and crash dumps, for us to pass on to Easy Anti-Cheat who are currently investigating this. Both can be located in this directory:

  1. Press the Windows key + R
  2. Enter %appdata% within the search input and select ‘OK’
  3. Navigate to AppData\Roaming\Fatshark\Vermintide 2\

Your progress is stored on our servers, perhaps restart the Steam client a couple of times.

When was the last time you played Vermintide 2 prior to this?

Thank you. Looking at previous reports I’ve received, it seems I’ve only ever dealt with this issue once before and for them it was an unlucky one-off, rebooting the console solved it. Could you try that if you haven’t already?

Which platform are you playing on @kuba.got?

Please try restarting as mentioned by Mattie above.

Could you PM me your PSN ID, please?

Please provide us with a crash report, which will allow us to look in to this.

To do this, after the crash occurs, a window should be displayed prompting you to enter what you were doing prior to the crash occurring. Once submitted, another window containing a long ‘GUID’ string and an option to ‘Copy to Clipboard’ should be displayed.

Please click the ‘Copy to Clipboard’ button and paste it in here. Thank you in advance.

I believe this may be related to our latest anti-cheat update - we’re working on it!

Unfortunately, your PC does not appear to meet the minimum requirements for Vermintide 2, which is resulting in the crashes you’re experiencing. The minimum requirements for Vermintide 2 are:

  • Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
  • OS: 64-bit Windows 7, 64-bit Windows 8 (8.1) or 64-bit Windows 10
  • Processor: Intel Core i5-2300 @ 2.80 GHz / AMD FX-4350 @ 4.2 GHz
  • Memory: 6 GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 or AMD Radeon HD 5870
  • DirectX: Version 11
  • Network: Broadband Internet connection
  • Storage: 65 GB available space

In this situation we can only recommend that you submit a refund request via the Steam client. Apologies for any disappointment caused.

Usually the result of a Steam hiccup not recognising owned DLC correctly, restarting the Steam client (sometimes required several times) will resolve this.

Comment

Unfortunately I have no recommendations on how to resolve this, it’s something our developers will have to look in to. I’ve added it to our database for investigation, I can only recommend that you continue to play using DirectX 11 in the mean time.

Comment

These appear to be GPU-related crashes. I understand you’ve already performed a clean driver reinstall with no success, but please try the other solutions listed here: https://support.fatshark.se/hc/en-us/articles/360034654593--PC-How-to-Resolve-GPU-Crashes

There is nothing in the logs that would explain a substantial drop in FPS. If every solution in the article linked above has been unsuccessful I can only suspect either a deeper rooted issue that is likely to be outside of our area of expertise, or simply poor optimisation on our end.

Comment

@CurlehMustache Oh no! Other players have reported success with the most recent Easy Anti-Cheat update, but perhaps a new BSOD has arisen off the back of it!

Would you willing to contact Easy Anti-Cheat, so they can investigate this? I can contact them myself but they much prefer to speak to players directly: https://www.easy.ac/en-us/support/game/contact/tech/

Edit: The developer handling this at Easy Anti-Cheat is also happy for ...

Hmmm, if on Windows 10, could you change your DirectX version within the launcher’s ‘Settings’ menu and see if the same occurs?

Otherwise - check for overheating: https://support.fatshark.se/hc/en-us/articles/360034115694--PC-How-to-Check-If-Your-PC-Components-Are-Overheating

The Connection Timeout error is a particularly infuriating one for all involved!

Have you tried connecting to a mobile hotspot, purely to see if the error continues? It helps in isolating the issue to the PC or the network.

Comment

I know I’ve already responded to you via the Support Portal, but for anybody else encountering this issue - Easy Anti-Cheat believe they have identified the problem and we’re updating our Easy Anti-Cheat version today to include the changes they’ve made. Hopefully, this should no longer be an issue as of the end of the day.

Sorry to hear that - please upload the associated console logs and I can have somebody look in to this.

  1. Press the Windows key + R
  2. Enter %appdata% within the search input and select ‘OK’
  3. Navigate to AppData\Roaming\Fatshark\Vermintide 2\console_logs

Thank you in advance.

It appears you’re using a custom DXGI DLL, have you made any manual changes to your Vermintide 2 directory?
