Appreciate it. Updating now.
Appreciate it. Updating now.
We’re finalizing something regarding the Battlegrounds MMR right now, so we will have something more to share within the next day or so.
Edit: updated the main post to link to our Battlegrounds plan, planned for tomorrow.
Hey, I can’t speak to products we haven’t announced yet, but I can say that the team is aware that for some players the portraits are a priority and that the team has plans to make offerings that should appeal more to that type of player. If you hang tight for future updates on that front, you’ll have more options that, I think, should be better for what you specifically are looking for–or at least give you some alternative routes to consider.
Hey, that’s incredible! I’m sorry the experience wasn’t what you wanted, but what you’re describing doesn’t necessarily sound like a bug.
After some player feedback, we updated the pack disclosures site to try to be a bit clearer on how packs work. Basically, the system is not designed to go through the progression for all Portraits within a rarity before landing on Coins–when converting from a Mercenary Card, it picks a straight random mercenary and then checks if there are any available Portraits to offer for that particular mercenary.

This is a known visual bug that will be addressed in a future patch. For now, the issue resolves itself when the page refreshes.
Hey Grex, the Chromebooks seem to be the types of devices that are having trouble going through tutorials for any new modes. Right now we don’t have a fix, just a workaround: enter the mode on another device and finish the tutorial. Once you’re done with the tutorial, you should be able to enter normally on your Chromebook.
If you are still having issues with one of the resolved problems, then please reach out to customer service so they can take a look at your specific situation.
That hotfix went out last night Pacific time, approximately 18 hours ago.
Hey, I’ve passed your post along to the team to make sure everything is good.
But, just from my end, I want to clarify that the way the portrait portion works is that when you would get a portrait, it will first choose a mercenary and then check for portrait ownership of that merc, instead of portraits generally. So the fact that you do not yet have all portraits of a rarity does not necessarily mean you’d be expected to get portraits before coins.
Hey, thanks for flagging and sorry you got stuck. The team is looking into these issues.
Hey Roland, this may not necessarily be an issue. It is the intended behavior that some of your packs will be all coins, particularly after you’ve opened enough packs to own all the open-able Rare mercs (which can be as low as within the first 30-ish packs).
Here’s the article explaining how Mercs packs work: https://us.battle.net/support/en/article/32545
Yeah, there are plans to adjust that.
Hello all,
We wanted to let you know about some known issues we are tracking with patch 21.4. We will continue to update this post as we get more information.
We’re aware of a visual bug where Rewards Track progress is not being shown. The XP is still being earned and tracked, but we are working on fixing the visuals to match.
(Resolved 10/13): Some players had their Battlegrounds rating reset after downloading the patch. We have addressed the problem causing this issue, and are continuing to investigate next steps for those impacted. Update: We have now restored Battlegrounds ratings for players who had their ratings reset after the 21.4 patch went live yesterday. The ratings were reset to what they were at 9:59 a.m., Pacific (immediately before the patch went live).
(Updated 10/14): We’re tracking and investigating miscellaneous connectivity, server, and performance issues. Update: This was further addressed ...
Hello all, we wanted to make you aware that there will be some known issues shipping with 21.4, which we intend to address in future updates. This post will house the known issues prior to launch, in all languages, and another post will be made if any unexpected live issues pop up.
The following are known issues that will be shipping with Patch 21.4, to be fixed in future updates:
I don’t know about the forum avatars, but I’ll float the ask and see what happens. As for potential future premade decks, I can’t speak on anything that hasn’t been announced, so you’ll have to keep an eye out for a possible official announce!
Hi everyone, thanks for spreading awareness on this. The fix is now in for next patch!
Read moreHey all, we’ve received your reports about a bug that prevented the fourth Boomsday Project Lethal Puzzle (“A Shaman’s Strength”) from loading correctly–and then causing further issues trying to re-connect after you close the client.
We identified the problem and have a fix going live in our next scheduled patch, Patch 21.4. In the meantime, we suggest that you avoid that particular lethal puzzle so that your client doesn’t get locked up.
Thanks for your help.
Hey there, the “this” I was referring to in this reply was the other complaint that was raised in response to this thread (chat settings not being saved). What you’re talking about (the main issue that this thread was created about) is still scheduled to be fixed in the next patch, like stated above. You can do the workaround listed in the original post in the meantime.
Hey there, this was fixed in Tuesday’s 21.3 patch (except for in the CN region, where the fix is going live in the next big patch). Once you update to 21.3, your settings should be saved.
