Folks,

This topic is NOT ANYWHERE near what the OP originally posted and there for DOA.

Furthermore, quoting information that applies to other titles that WG owns does not necessarily apply to World of Warships. Especially when a clear explanation has been stated multiple times..

No it is no more than 40% of battles, but keep in mind. Like I said, that is for EVERY tier... so it is possible to have more than 40% if you are playing multiple tiers.

Recently NVIDIA had a driver update that was actually affecting multiple games if you are using "Image Sharpening" disable this and it may help some. That being said, when you set the graphics to the lowest is it still bad?

Aloha,

Just reminding everyone, that the PTS server typically runs (during the test phase) from Thursday 11am-ish till Monday at 5am-ish (times may vary). And that the PTS is technically a global server that has all regions playing on it, so you will be playing with people that don't speak English.

Thank you all for your feedback!

And TBH, some ships are just that way... it is so annoying... I actually have a few ships like that... I can throw up BIG numbers, I have fun in them, love them. But don't play them often because they are on my "plagued" list of poor W/R ships LOL.

And then there are weird ships that I am really good in like Kidd.... I don't have IFHE and don't even have Demo-Expert... and some how am REALLY good in her LOL.

So I have never started a major corporation before. Have you? So I don't know why patents for ANYTHING might be needed, especially in a legal precedence. And what you're saying is purely conjecture.

I will say this, if you have a system that could possibly be mimicked by a competitor (and if you think they don't exist you're wrong) filing a VERY far arcing patent on something that you wish to keep proprietary then would seem prudent.

Whether you believe me or not, WE DO NOT nor for the foreseeable future intend to have ANY kind of stat based MMing.

Again, I can't speak for YOUR statistics and how you've done in game. Only you can do this, I said that above.

No I did not ignore that comment, nor does it counter my explanation because PR is not made up ONLY of W/R.

I have also seen my PR increase on ships like Hindenberg my worst W/R ship I believe... because I can deal A LOT of damage but for some reason can't seem to get a win on her like I can other ships.

A lot of factors go into PR. Damage output for one.

If you play a Thunderer and boarder hug spamming HE and dealing massive amounts of damage but constantly lose because the enemy is allowed to cap, you could in essence see a PR increase (this is just one example btw)

I am checking for you right now if we have the ability to do so, one sec!

No offense, but I just told you straight up that MM does NOTHING with stats when it comes to composing teams. We have been tweaking MM for years, whether that is the changes in 0.8.7 for uptiering, limiting classes in battles, etc etc, but player statistics are NEVER utilized. And for the time being they will never be utilized, because of the complexity that it would require to make MM do so.

The only thing I can say is if your personal W/R is going down steadily over time, perhaps doing a deep dive into your own statistics, play styles, the classes you're playing the tiers etc etc. I know for me, when I start doing poorly in a ship or class, I do some self introspect to see what I may be doing wrong to overcome this. Especially with the MANY mechanic changes over the years.

So here is the thing, I can look at my own global stats for the past year and my W/R has steadily been on the increase, ever so slowly. Regardless of win and loss streaks. As I have said, I have been playing this game since alpha testing and my W/R for the past year has slowly been increasing on a steady curve from 55.8 up to almost 57%, its slow, because I have 12000 battles in game (in randoms). And across all classes. It typically takes me about 10 losses in a row for me personally to quit playing for awhile, that may be different for others, but I don't play to pad my stats, I play because it's a game... and regardless when I am losing or winning, I am enjoying time with friends.

Folks this is a game, you shouldn't be delving so hardcore into trying to figure out how the game is "stacking the teams against you" it isn't occurring on purpose, MM DOES NOT take into account ANY statistics to make the teams up.

Can you work to find a pattern? I am sur...

If there was a pattern of more losses then wins, it would not be possible for so many of us to maintain a 55% or above W/R. And there are people that do so regularly and even that get up into the 70% area. So I am unsure what you're getting at.

The average player on NA has a 46-48% W/R. Though I don't really care about stats, I have paid attention to this since before I worked for WG and ever since Alpha testing.

Truth be told there are days where I EXPECT not as many wins because I know the server populations are higher, which means more people that play games to just play games and don't care about statistics. Fri night, Sat and Sun are these days. And for over a year now it has appeared that Mondays are that way as well.

As I said before, currently however, we are having higher than normal server populations, because of current events. So this will be more common.

Standby for words from the Chief.

Aloha,

Shipmates, tomorrow morning in the wee hours (0500-0800 central time) a small patch will be applied along with the server down time. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Aloha,

So some days you will have winning streaks and some days you will not.

Myself, with an overall of 56% W/R across something like 12k battles. I have had days where I had a 95% W/R across 15 games and then the next day a 30% W/R. It is the way of online gaming.... Ebbs and Flows.

Also, currently since everyone is stuck at home you have a higher than normal server player count, with A LOT of people still learning how to play. If you are getting super angry over a game, I would suggest a breather and coming back to try again later.

All that being said, please be careful of the personal attacks, your OP had little to no information to go off of and the community is attempting to solicit more information from you (albeit not the best way sometimes).

Aloha,

So the 20 battles number came from the initial release of this update, MM attempts to ensure that no more than 40% of 20 battles at each tier are uptiered.

This can be overridden by time in que (as most MM rules can be).

So this means for Tier V, tier VI and tier VII it will attempt to only uptier EACH tier a maximum of 40%

So if you play say 5 battles at tier V then 5 battles at tier VI and 5 battles at tier VII and that is it, it IS possible to be uptiered for 15 battles.

Conversely, let's say you intend to just play tier V and you have played 8 battles so far and have been uptiered for all of them, then assuming you aren't in que too long to where rules start getting overridden, your next 12 should be tier V battles.

We have never said there is NO work being done on CV development.

We have said we have no plans at this time to remove CV's or rework them again. But have always said that we follow the data and change things as needed

If we didn't have any CV development going on, the below wouldn't be occurring:

Japanese aircraft carrier Hakuryu, Tier X:

Maximum rocket damage reduced from 3,250 to 3,150;

Chance of a rocket causing fire reduced from 15 to 14%.

Aircraft:

Spotting range of all planes reduced from 18 to 17 km (This characteristic determines at what distance the aircraft is capable of spotting an enemy).

Also:

And as for time frames I cannot make a statement on something that hasn't been announced and you know this.
