We shared previews of the Alpha One mage, cleric, and tank going into recent testing, as those were the archetypes that were available. We'll be sharing more on the bard as we get closer to having you help us test it out!

πŸ˜‹ You are giving us all sorts of ideas for some new exotic siege weaponry that players could use. Thank you for the suggestions! ❀

on a side note i tried a basic chain to hold the pieces together and got rid of the gold on the blade because it felt a bit to shiny if you wanna see it, its on my artstation since reddit doesn't let me upload images in comments :(
whip sword

That looks pretty sweet! Well done! πŸ˜„

One issue I had with alpha 1 was that it seemed grinding mobs was sort of inefficient xp wise. You could level up much more efficiently by doing quests, and it made farming mobs for xp just less worthwhile. So there shouldn't be a massive disparity in xp gain between the two major activities, because then people will prioritize doing one over the other, even if they find it less enjoyable.

If you do emphasize on the former, than you have to make sure quests are full of lore and keep our interests. Neither should you neglect the fun in grinding. I personally think a homogenized progression is probably better since some people might prefer to just grind mobs over questing and vice versa. Let the players decide what they want to do to level up instead of forcing them to quest, or grind because one activity provides more xp.

Thank you for your feedback! We appreciate the input. πŸ€— πŸ’•

thanks!, im glad you like it :D turning it into a whip would be cool, just need something to hold the pieces together

  • souls would be a nice ( if they could hold anything :P ).
  • a chain is abit basic, maybe, unless i add some chains over the hilt instead of leather straps?
  • muscles / ligaments bits in-between the spine blades since that's what holds bones together xD but that might be a bit gory for the game. and might make the sword more "alive" than it should be

any ideas ? i'll see if i can do it lol

The idea of a sword being held together by the souls of those it has vanquished sounds pretty sweet to us! πŸ‘»

Interesting concept! Perhaps the bone parts of the blade could bend upon impact and be used almost like a whip? Either way, this is a nice spooky concept! 🦴

Let's just hope these speedy giants don't decide they don't like the looks of your metropolis πŸ™ƒ

I remember Steven say something along the lines of "if you are done with the raids/instances in an area, you need to destroy the city by attacking it, then you can develop a node in another area to get access to other content".

Far from word by word, just pulling out from my memory.

Indeed, the power to reshape the landscape and bring new challenges to light will be at your fingertips!

It will be glorious. Player driven content, the rise and fall of player created node cities, will leave us all with legendary memories. The story lines created by players always are superior to any scripted pve encounter in an mmo.

Here's to many glorious adventures, friend! 🍻

A coliseum where players could sign up and fight 1v1 / 2v2 / whatever. Other people there could watch the fights in real time and throw tomatoes and stuff at teams they dislike. You would be able to gamble and place bets on matches. There would be a leader board for the best teams, win/loss statistics, scheduled matches, and stuff like that.

Eventually an influential team intentionally throws a big match and creates forum drama for me to read. That's my dream.

We'll bring the popcorn 🍿

Sounds like something the arena system might play into, especially if spectators were involved!
