I love that man
It's very odd the direction you guys have been going with content lately. A lot of this high-end, end-game content is being made immediately accessible to anyone without any actual requirements. It's crazy.
Remember when you actually needed to work towards being able to access new content? There's no sense of achievement here anymore. The god questline is mostly freely open to anyone now despite actually requiring high-end quests to understand the story, Anachronia also, ED's...
I understand you want more people playing the content but this is not the way to do it.
Our lead designers have been opting for accessibility over requirements for a couple of years now. We see the need for balance however, and aspirational content is important too.
FYI /u/jagexchaose will create a job for our artists to fix this. Thank you for reporting it.

Do you have the cogs toggled on in the settings? Gameplay -> General -> Game Interaction
Seems like there is no bug here.
I've seen this and the points raised in this thread will be discussed at the next combat council meeting. Thank you for the feedback.
Love it :)
Seiryu's claw* does this tick off if you have made it into the mizuyuri as I have just done on my ironman after grinding 6k asshats for it....?
lmao why have I never seen someone call them asshats before
Issues
- Pressing enter twice causes the carrot to be misaligned.
- Attempting to pin-point typing with the carrot after the 2nd line break is almost impossible.
- You can uncover the HTML script.
These details are helpful, and though I'm sure there is a job created to look at fixing this, I will endeavour to check tomorrow and add your additional points if they don't already exist. Thanks :)
P.S. The HTML thing is nothing serious either, there's no 'script', just a line-break markup. RuneScape doesn't handle multiline input well, clearly, and this is simply string data denoting a new line.
While this is obviously unintended behaviour, fixing it is not as high a priority as you presume it may be because it *clearly* isn't a critical blocker.
A user may still type and press send.
It's likely that this small interface is also on a massive batch list of interfaces to update to newer UI code in our continued preparation for a mobile launch.
smh
Safe to say this has been the most contentious proposed change from it, so I've left it with the team to discuss first thing tomorrow.
Current solutions for ironmen accounts have already been drawn up and designed prior to the announcement. Some of the options will be in upcoming content, however, so watch this space for news. Fear not.
oh god
/u/JagexOrion Just making sure you've seen this post
I got linked it on Twitter. Thanks :)
If some have slipped by and worked just fine, could we poll users or users with X+ RuneScore if they'd prefer consistency with an occasional minor blip on hiscores vs inconsistency? Whenever additions to these Achievements occur, they are usually/always accompanied by new Achievements that cause a shift anyways. For me, that's a lot of the fun.
Sorry if I am misunderstanding the full issue, just thought I would suggest it as it seems to fix the problem and save some development time.
They didn't work fine, they caused problems with the table! :(
The issue isn't one of player outrage, it's a technical issue as I understand it.
Pretty much :)
No, you should definitely just subtract the runescore. Those chasing high scores would be more than willing to go and do new content anyway, right?
No, it's only because our highscore tables don't do well at subtracting from the total.
I'm more than happy to either subtract runescore or make new meta achievements. I'm just explaining that due to the high scores, we currently try not to (some have slipped by).
We agree.
However, currently due to the way the highscore tables work, new additions to these achievements can cause issues.
The only current workaround (without working on that specific system to change how it functions right now) would be to make all of these achievements be worth zero runescore. That way we don't have to care about adding things to them and subtracting earned runescore off of players.
This happened last Monday with the 50 RuneScore "Potion Mixer Master", with the Aggroverload potion being added. I know the goal is to not do that, but considering it just happened, maybe it should happen again covering these things.
Also would be nice to have an achievement for eating each cooked dino meat.
Yeah that's a little annoying, seems like an oversight.
We need to make new achievements for anything covering new content because removing runescore causes issues with the highscore tables.
