So clans are schedules for mid 2021 and group Ironman for the end of 2021?
There aren't any release dates set for them. Clans will be before GIM though. The 2021 chunk of the roadmap is just a rough 'it's coming in 2021' rather than in any order

We don't say this nearly enough but we're immensely proud of being a community-driven game. That said, we don't want to pat ourselves on the back too much. We know we have weaknesses, and we know there are areas where we could improve. We've been trying to refine the way we communicate with you, namely by being more transparent (which is why the Gazette exists!), but we also want to be better at directly involving you in the process of game design.

But aside from the occasional Player-Designed Content (PDC) competitions, there hasn't been a formalised way to submit your ideas. New J-Mods!
Last month we welcomed three new J-Mods, and this month we welcome three more!
Mod Daizong, Senior Systems Developer
Hey everyone, I’m Mod Daizong! I’ve been in the games industry for 15 years and I can't tell you how excited I am to join the Old School team as a Senior Systems Designer. Playing RuneScape is just like exploring a new world. I’m always thrilled with the adventures I have in the game. It constantly finds ways to attract my curiosity with intriguing stories, unique characters, fascinating environments and interesting puzzles. I hope I can contribute my knowledge and experience to this amazing world soon and create something for you all to enjoy!

I see a future with Old School front-and-centre on online game stores. It'll be available on other platforms and consoles. There'll be game worlds based in other locations. And it'll be available in different languages!
We see it like this - there are pockets of potential players everywhere around us. Potential players who play exclusively using Steam, or get their dose of daily gaming on the sofa with their consoles. We want more happy members who love the game and shout about Old School from the rooftops!
Those are lofty ambitions. Indeed, some are seriously huge undertakings. There's some major secret projects already in the works... but there's more we can do in the meantime. We've been working hard on leveling up our marketing game, and we're continuing to explore short-form competitive styles of play which offer something new like Leagues and Deadman.
There are other opportunities, too. We have gre...

Hey everyone! I'm back with my second article for the Gielinor Gazette (you can catch my previous one in in July's edition here). As before, I'm here to give you regular insight into what everybody in Old School is doing behind the scenes. And if anyone has a cooler name for my section, I'm down for a change!
Old School's 2020/21 H1 Roadmap
Last time I talked about the game's roadmap for 2020 and how it has changed from our initial plans. Since then we've been able to refine the roadmap and offer a bit more detail. You'll notice terms like 'Med' or 'Mini'. That means we've planned in the capacity available to work on content at that time, but haven't yet totally decided what exactly will be worked on. It goes without saying that things on the roadmap will also be blogged and polled. It looks like there's a lot ...

Hello and welcome to the August edition of the Gielinor Gazette! We know it's September. A long bank holiday weekend combined with the Jagex-wide LevelUp conference (which saw all Jagex Mods take days off to focus on learning and development) meant that we quickly ran out of August! Don't fret though - the September edition is still on the way!
This month Mod MikeD will be continuing his discussion about the game's roadmap and future, we present a new way for you to make content suggestions, and we introduce you to three more new J-Mods!
Don't forget that each month's Gazette is accompanied with a monthly leadership livestream. Join us at on www.twitch.tv/OldSchoolRS at 17:00 BST on Thursday September 3rd. If you happen to be reading this in the future and the livestream has already happened, you can find the recording ...

Hey. Glad to see you're back on the account following its hijacking.
I understand you're really frustrated and you just want to play again, but I want to note that the Account Recovery system isn't used for disabling the Authenticator. Since you recovered your account and your email is registered to it, you'll be able to disable it yourself pretty easily!
The Disabling the Authenticator Support guide walks through the steps, but here's how to do it.
What does the tweet say? Twitter not even loading for me
"Our technicians are working to resolve an IP outage. Ensuring the reliability of our services is our top priority. We will provide regular updates on our progress."
I went to IKEA nice and early so I could spend the rest of my Sunday gaming. And then this. Guthix halp pls.
Hi all!
You may have noticed, but lots of you are having connectivity issues with RuneScape at the moment. It doesn't appear to be anything with our game worlds, rather it's connected to the same issues plaguing pretty much the rest of the internet. It's being investigated, but looks to be an ISP issue. Lots of reports pertaining to CenturyLink, and they tweeted this moments ago: https://twitter.com/CenturyLink/status/1300063983739772928?s=19.
Stay strong, we'll be gaming again together soon!
Edit/Update: 17:30 BST
Our sysadmin team are confident things are starting to settle down. Whilst this has been ongoing they've been working hard on routing options. They do acknowledge that from a player's perspective (yours) it'll be a bit of a 'mixed bag' base...

Read moreTurael dies in While Guthix Sleeps, and in rs2&rs3 he was replaced by his daughter, Spria. Perhaps she would be a good fit for a Draynor slayer master?
She sure would. Blog has been changed :)
Name him Durael. Zero confusion
Durael321?
As others have said, how about if Turael moves to Draynor during the quest itself, and Spria takes over for him in Burthrope? Or maybe even have Spria be the one who features in the quest and have her be in Draynor?
We've opted for that latter choice!
What's the objection to putting the new sibling in Draynor? Can't he/she not be part of the quest? I think a lot of players will find it confusingly that , iconic, turael, is suddenly in Draynor. It also doesn't make a lot of sense considering you need to get the blessed mithril axe from turael who would suddenly be a few doors away...
If there's an objection to adding him/her to draynor, can't you add this person to the inn between draynor and port sarim? Or something like that ?
Initially we didn't consider having the new NPC in Draynor because the quest design would involve Turael, but now we've proposed a new NPC (Turael's daughter) who would be involved in the quest. We're proposing Turael remain in Burthorpe, and his daughter is added to Draynor.
Why not the sibling just be at Draynor and Turael stay in Burthorpe? Is there that much to gain vs to lose in legacy?
You're quite right, and we've made changes accordingly. We'd tweak the quest slightly too.
Wouldn't it make more sense to move the new NPC to Draynor and keep Turael in Buthorpe? Also, the new NPC should be Spria, Turael's Daughter. She is already established in RS lore to be his succesor so it makes sense to introduce her into OSRS, even if she is still a Slayer Master in training.
We've revised our proposal, and the blog now introduces Spria to Old School.
