I'll probably get down voted, but I play RS3 more than OS (mainly because it's my original account from back in the day.) This is a big problem for me. There are so many treasure trail sets it's ridiculous. 1/4 of my bank is items I can't store yet.

I answered a similar question a few moments ago:

It only applies to a minority of players. There's a game-mode called Ultimate Ironman which is based around the concept of seriously tough inventory management. Before the game change we polled Ultimate Ironman to ascertain how they'd prefer us to handle their accounts and item storage.

Other players can store and withdraw individual pieces as much as they'd like.

I’m wondering. What's the reasoning behind not being able to recover parts of a set?

If you're not an UIM then you have can store/withdraw as much as you like.

But, if you are an UIM then you'll be able to do that from next Wednesday onward. We'll be separating third-age sets as they were before the room rework.

Hey all!

I've been in touch with OP a couple of times today. Firstly to let them know that we're looking into the issue, and most recently to explain what our choice of resolution is going to be. I'll paste what the resolution message looked like. I wanted to make sure we had actually worked out a proper resolution internally - and communicated it to OP - before responding to this publicly.

Here's the recent message:

------------------

Hey!

Sorry for the delay. We've discussed a few different solutions, and touched on how we got to this point.

The content is working as intended, and as polled to UIM accounts. That said, we really should have done a better job in communicating what would happen to existing stored items. The blogs and polls point to what will happen to items you try to store after the update, but not what will happen to items stored before the update.

We discussed adding an exception to Third-age sets for UIM ...

I've taken a look at the suggestion form and the formatting is absolutely horrible. Everything has to be written on a single and infinitely long line, like you physically can't press enter and start on a new line. Idk how it will look on your end, but to "Share your idea in as much detail as you'd like." simply isn't feasible atm without having everything on a linked image/design doc.

Would be nice to actually write more than 3 sentences there without scrolling back and forth just to view the whole text, or having to link an online word doc everytime.

I'll take a look at this tomorrow, unsure if anything changed formatting-wise when going through feedback.

Is there any discussion how how membership offers for player acquisition is abused by botting systems?

Yea, in the blog we spoke about work with Amazon to improve verification, getting more anti-cheating resource etc.

We've already done a few partnerships that offered membership. They're great for bringing in new players, but we know you have valid concerns about things like bots and world crowding when free membership is up for grabs. We haven't ignored these thoughts! Since the last batch of free membership, we've increased the size of our anti-cheating team and worked closely with Amazon to improve verification methods. Next time we're going to shorten the membership amount we offer, which we expect will prevent the bots from making as much progress as they have in the past.

We're definitely open to it - https://oldschool.runescape.wiki/w/Ferox_Enclave_Dungeon this place exists after all!

Really liking the Roadmaps. Is there a difference between Small and Mini? I take it they represent the same thing. Though this is making it really hard to prepare a "2020 Reveals Bingo"; are there any updates on a big reveal event similar to what was done at RuneFest or will that likely come through Gazettes?

I'll try to get more clarity on project sizes for the next month's roadmap share.

New big content should come from a big event (like RuneFest) rather than Gazettes, but there aren't concrete plans for one just yet.

Tip for your partnerships:

Instead of offering x days of membership, offer them an untradeable bond (7-14 days) which can not be changed to tradeable one. This way your new players first get to level up their skills in f2p and once they reach a certain goal; for example 70 combat or 600 total level, they can use it to get taste of p2p world.

That’s a partnership reward I could accept as a player.

That's a nice approach, I'll pass that on

Disappointed there's no mention of Raids 3. Seems content updates will be pretty light into next year. Leagues and Soul Wars are interesting distractions but won't keep the main game alive.

We haven't revealed any new content yet, but there will be new content. The images only show the stuff we've already spoken about

Hey, we're in complete agreement. We're going to be sharing big Tech stuff in the coming months

Sounds like they are priming us for a sponsored league in the future. I called it when leagues was first announced, and the original partnership drama was still spicy. How long until a hot pockets themed league with a special reward that replaces a rock cake with a super heated meat pie that burns you when you eat it?

Not sure how I'd feel about it. But the memes will likely be legendary

I'd hate to see partnerships touch Leagues in anyway whatsoever

Having a "20th Bday" event scheduled for 2021 on the roadmap strikes me as a bit weird.

To me, a 20th birthday celebration would be a better fit for RS3. This year we explicitly celebrated OSRS's seventh birthday, so next year, I'd expect to celebrate its eighth.

We expect to celebrate both!

I had the same opinion as you, but then I considered that the 20th Birthday isn't necessarily the 20th Birthday of RS3, but of RuneScape as a whole.

And I fully expect us to celebrate our 8th in February

That's just the stuff that we already announced, and no new reveals. There'll be big 2021 updates!

It's definitely a goal of ours. Game localisation is a huge undertaking though

From the blog:

Getting Old School Everywhere

I see a future with Old School front-and-centre on online game stores. It'll be available on other platforms and consoles. There'll be game worlds based in other locations. And it'll be available in different languages!

At RuneFest last year we announced something called PvM Achievement Diaries, without much detail. This is what this became!

Possibly playing old school on console? Interesting.

I think it'd work well on Switch, similarly to games like Divinity: Original Sin 2

Hi, i see soul wars is on the roadmap for early 2021?

That's really nostalgic content for me and would love to read more about how you'll inplement this into osrs? I'm not very well informed when it comes to future updates but I haven't seen much discussion about soul wars being reintroduced until this point.

Does this mean there could be potential for a Nomad themed questline too?
