Sorry about that, this is a bug that’s been reported to the development team.
Sorry about that, this is a bug that’s been reported to the development team.
The fix for this should be live now, please let me know if you still have issues.
omg thank you you’re 100% right.
@Hayabusa, someone posted a screenshot above of a cosmetic pet in the Menagerie offer.
This one is manual and has already been pushed to the live server ready for tonight’s weekly reset!
idk it was the second time they asked for it, so at that point I assume there’s some sincerity to the request on some level
Gems of War is available on 7 stores including:
Xbox, Playstation, Steam, Google Play, App Store, Amazon Store, Nintendo Online.
I’m sorry you feel the Pathfinder changes has made the ownership of your console redundant but it’s far outside our scope or what’s reasonable to refund a console and associated hardware for 4 Troop rebalances, in a game that is still 100% playable and has over 1000 other Troops to choose from if you don’t like Pathfinders any more. As well as being available on a range of devices, some of which you may have already owned prior to the console purchase.
The other complaints and compensation requests I understand but that one is well outside our scope I’m sorry.
Steam Kitty is a Steam exclusive Pet only available through purchasing the DLC on Steam.
It looks like all of these pets are cosmetic so only available through scheduled 24 hour Pet Rescue events and the Harper’s Magical Menagerie offer.
We’re unable to provide additional in game resource refunds or compensation for these Troops or offers I’m afraid.
The rebalance was a recent decision and communicated as soon as we had the details.
Due to the size of the Troop pool and the age of the game (9+ years currently) we do try to regularly rebalance Troops to keep them balanced and we can’t guarantee that a Troop will always function as it did on first release. Sometimes Troops are buffed and sometimes we do have to nerf Troops as well to maintain some balance.
In those cases we have always provided refunds of the in game resources used to upgrade the Troop which you can self claim through the Collection menu for the affected Troops.
We rarely rebalance a Troop shortly after releasing it unless it causes a bug or behaves in an otherwise unexpected manner that ruins the gameplay experience badly.
Adelwing was a bit of an unfortunate outlier in that it was available in a Headstart offer les...
Read moreHi all,
I just wanted to clarify about refund requests and the Shiny Key mail.
If you are not happy with a purchase made for Gems of War we do encourage you to seek a refund from the store you purchased it from. You will not be banned for making a genuine refund request.
Bans in this situation are only placed in the case of suspected or actual fraud.
There is nothing wrong with requesting a refund and receiving one.
As long as you are requesting it in good faith and not in an attempt to use fraudulent payment methods or abuse the store’s policies in order to attempt to receive things for free, then you won’t have a problem with your Gems of War account.
I can’t speak for the stores themselves if you initate a refund through your payment provider, I don’t know what the store policies are in that regard and I don’t work for or represent them.
Regarding the 20 Shiny Keys we sent out, this was a blanket mail to cover those whose a...
Read moreHi all,
I’ve set this thread to stay permanently locked instead of it being auto locked on a timer due to the community flags here.
The reason is the user who started this discussion was circumventing a permanent ban for extensive harrassment and real life threats towards other community members and staff, so I’ve suspended this latest account as well.
I understand that family & friends can be using the same devices and network to access the Gems of War community, however, due to the serious nature of the ban we can’t afford to risk leaving any associated accounts unbanned in this case.
Thank you all for trying to assist them with their concerns.
I will look into the chat reports that were made over the weekend soon too.
As always you can find our ...
Read moreHello Adventurers,
We wanted to share with you some changes/improvements we have made with Cedric Sparklesack’s (and King Cedric’s) rewards. Most of this will have very little effect on your experience, but we like to be transparent about changes, so here they are.
We have 2 issues we wanted to address:
For the first issue, we have updated our system to automatically add Tarot Cards (and Gnomes) into the Vault. This is similar to how we automate other areas of the game (like Chests). When we no longer have to do things like this manually, they’re much more reliable.
This means Tarot cards will automatically be added to the Vault R...

When Sirrian said he was going to help me explain the Spell change I thought he was going to explain Magic scaling and how it works - I should have known better

Because we’re still starry-eyed over the Cosmic Dragons, we’re giving them some love.
That might sound a bit nebulous, but it should increase their damage by a galactic amount!
We’re hoping this should put them back in everyone’s orbit.
We have also increased pun per light year by 2%
We’d really prefer not to change the way an event is working in the middle of the event.
So we are monitoring how things are going, and I will poke the team about that from a data perspective again in our next meeting as well.
I’m talking about long time Journey feedback, current Journey feedback and how the recent Pathfinder changes are affecting Journey Scoring specifically as well every day with the team at the moment. There’s just not currently a lot I can share while it’s being discussed.
I don’t want you to feel there’s radio silence but I also don’t know what more you actually want me to talk about. I think everything was in the original post:
Feedback will be taken into consideration for the next Journey event.
These decisions were made based on retention data, analytics and qualitative feedback.
I spoke to the development team this morning, I talk to them every day, I sit within 3 meters of them at the office. I play the game, I don’t need that to be believed, it just is. I am not sharing my account info before anyone asks because it will never be good enough for everyone and criticising how I play in my spare time outside of work isn’t going to be great for my mental health and it really won’t serve any constructive purpose for anyone here either.
We know that Pathfinders and Journey scoring are just 2 pain points.
We always have several things on the go at a time in addition to a long list of things to look at next. For exampl...
Read moreHi everyone,
Thanks for all your feedback about the Pathfinder Troop rebalances and the Journey Event scoring. We are collecting your feedback in addition to monitoring how these changes are performing by reviewing our analytics and game data.
The Pathfinder changes were in part made due to overwhelming evidence that they were ruining the PvP experience for the player base, with it being more unpleasant the lower level/newer the player is to the game. As mentioned in the blog post about the changes, the issue is with looping extra turns excessively making for a poor gaming experience for everyone, not just new players. Looping Teams can...
Read moreThe team are working on this at the moment. They updated me this morning.
We’ll be sending anyone affected their missing rewards soon hopefully.
I’ll post again once we have an ETA but currently there’s no concern the data will be lost.
This has been fixed now, you might need to close and re-open the game to get the fix if it still doesn’t work for you now.
The issue with upgrading the Cosmic Dragons as well as the new Troops and Weapons are now appearing in the Collection.
