Hey all, we are actively investigating this. It seems like for most the issue resolves itself, so we are focusing on those where the error persists/returns. Customer Support is the right group to reach out to, as they create the tickets that the devs end up reviewing, and most importantly they can collect info that we can’t grab on the forums.

If the team investigating has questions for this group, I’ll post them in thread.

Don’t fret please, we are not taking a studio-wide vacation, no time for that, lots to do - there will definitely be updates on a semi-weekly basis up until the next content release. The semi-weekly releases often and will continue to include bug fixes, balance changes, reward adjustments, exploit responses, QoL changes, etc.

Changes that require new tech, such as a gearset mechanism (though to be clear, this isn’t something coming in the near term), would not be part of these smaller updates.

A ‘peek-behind-the-curtain’ detail regarding this change is that content validation testing takes a while; this adjustment to content release timing gives us the opportunity to react to player concerns quickly with smaller weekly updates, while also ensuring the quality bar of the next content release is high. Thanks for the feedback! Confirming that there are no plans currently to go F2P for New World. I saw some folks mention subs in the thread, which we are also not currently planning for. I don’t want to say ‘never’ because I can’t predict the future, but I can confirm that as of right now, we are not considering either of the aforementioned.

I also saw a few mentions of Battle Pass - there is a post from around launch about our position on battle passes, which are also not happening anytime soon as we continue to focus on events, content and features, and to my knowledge that originally stated position has not changed. Now I’ve got to go scrounge up that post…

If any of this changes, we will let everyone know well in advance.

Hey folks, this has been fixed with the last update. There is still some awkwardness around hitting ‘N’ that we are investigating, but nothing that will boot you from the game mode. You can rebind if you’d like, unless your new binding is already muscle memory and makes you happy.

Hey there, I know a few folks contacted Customer Support about a connection issue which has since been resolved on the player side. We are however continuing our investigation into the root issue for this.

If you’re still getting the error, please contact Customer Support and they will grab some info that we need to help us dig into the issue further. :vulcan_salute:

Thanks for the feedback on the fire ring. We have a fix for some invisible collisions in the arena which didn’t make it into this PTR latest build, but are in test at the moment. Does that sound like what you’re experiencing when you say ‘buggy floor’? Like there are random collisions or lack thereof?

Hey all, if you hop into the PTR today after the most recent patch is complete, would you please take note of when you start to receive damage from the fire ring?

Does it damage you before the fire has reached you?
Or does it, as intended, only damage you when you touch it (fire hot :fire:!).

We continue to look into the feasibility of opening New World servers in other regions. It’s not something happening soon, or for sure, but it is on the table.

Note that if we do open a new region, it won’t be a surprise - we will announce any region changes far enough ahead of time to allow folks to plan transfers if they would like to move.

Hey all, I am following up on the infinite load screen issue where one of the three players is unable to enter the arena. We have patched since those initial reports - has anyone encountered this issue recently (since the Thursday patch, to be specific)?

Following up, all players that were experiencing this delay should be good now - let us know if the issue persists and we will look into it, but everyone should be transferred now as expected.

Thanks for the feedback @Fenidas (and the others in this thread). We agree that the 2K population limit is not our long term goal, and are working toward making the world feel more expansive. There’s not much detail I can provide, but use of instances and a higher population cap are at the forefront of our conversations.

I hear you on this. The current AFK logic is great at detecting and kicking bots, but I understand it is frustrating when you’re just trying to live your Aeternum life the way you want to live it (I personally get it when I’m fishing).

All that being said, I unfortunately don’t have more info right now, other than we are actively discussing options to reduce this friction.

If as a Free Weekend participant, after the Free Weekend merge, and subsequent larger scale server merges, you are unhappy with the location of your character, please reach out to Customer Support to discuss your options. They may be able to help you out.

I’m not saying it would be easy (rarely that is the case) but a lot of that tech already exists in some form currently (not used the way you’ve described), and I like what you’re putting down.
