We are aware of an issue where players who update to the 1.00.00 game update are not receiving three new Quests and/or their Weekly Win progress has not been reset. This is not the intended behavior, and we are currently investigating.

Thank you for your patience as we work to find a solution.

ONCE UPON A TIME…

. . . There was a game director by the name of Jay Parker. And Jay Parker lived for adventures. He loved them so much, he was adamant about sharing these adventures with fellow players. And there's a food joke in here somewhere.

Jay Parker has many tales to share with his fellow adventurers. Some tales known, some unexpected. Perhaps you've heard of some of them:

  • Introduction: Throne of Eldraine
  • That Time You Could Play Any Deck in Standard
  • That Time You Could Win Every Card in Standard
  • Fee-Fae-Fo-Foxes, It's Eldraine Set Mastery
  • The Rightful Standardization of Naming Architectures in Certain Events

Standard 2020 Events (Play, Ranked Play)

7370fe898f8349935dbba144dc60ec145755b13f

Updated Event Structure: 3 Wins or 2 Losses

Updated Rewards:

  • 1 Win: 50 XP
  • 2 Wins: 150 XP
  • 3 Wins: 250 XP

Developer Notes: We hope these changes make the event feel a little less "grindy". Now, you can lose a game or two and still earn Mastery XP, and the event runs a little bit longer so you don't have to rejoin it as often. As before, both the Standard 2020 and Standard 2020 Ranked events have no entry fee and you can play them as often as you like until September 26 (at 4 a.m. PT to be precise).

Known Issue - Quest/Daily Wins Mouseover

Players cannot interact with quests objectives, daily wins, and/or Mastery progression while on the Home page. This includes hovering the objective to see the rewards, clicking to re-roll quests, and/or seeing the amount of XP needed to reach the next Mastery Level.

Workaround

Restarting the client should fix this issue.

Bug Fixes

  • Gameplay buttons should no longer display incorrect text.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented sideboarding during best-of-three Direct Challenge matches.

We will be performing scheduled maintenance on September 9th, 2019 at 8 a.m. PT (15:00 UTC) to deploy the 0.18.01.00 game update. Maintenance is expected to last approximately one hour.

No downtime is expected. Players who are logged in prior to the start of maintenance are encouraged to restart their client once the game update is available. For all other players, the game will automatically update the next time Magic: The Gathering Arena is launched.

Patch notes will be available once maintenance is complete.
