Read moreDear Epic, you keep adding hero’s to the store that you say will be changed. Assuming these will leave when the season ends, and we also have no idea how they will be reworked, I don’t know what to use my gold on. I feel like I need to get everything, but there’s not enough opportunities for gold. I know you can grind gold, but a lot of more casual players have things to do, and don’t have time to do endless encampment missions. I would have rather had Zenith be the weekly reward, but no, it’s just some weapons we can get easily from the new Lunar Llamas. So in conclusion, I have no gold, I (and many others) have no time to get gold, and we don’t know how to spend it once we get it because of the little hero rework info.
Edit: A lot of players are calling me lazy and saying I shouldn’t have asked for more content. Just to clarify, I’m not complaining about them adding heros! I’m not trying to be lazy! NEW CONTENT IS GOOD!!!!! I’m complaining about how some/most players can...

Magyst, while I do appreciate the honesty and reply, such a basic function of the game shouldn’t have taken almost two years just to begin discussing. Could you forward a message to the dev team that there’s many basic things (storm shield tear downs for one) that should have been taken care of a long time ago and should be expedited? I understand the game is in development, but it’s been a very long time to not have basic functions.
We didn't just begin discussing ;) Just a matter of implementation and priority. Right now, we're heavy focused on getting the Hero Loadout to everyone.
Also, we are making this Hero unique when the Hero Loadout launches. He will not be a reskin then :)

this is unacceptable that they are leaving half portion of their community with nothing at all. shows how worried they are about people leaving their game. no bug fixes for stw, no better fps on consoles. just shows how they don't care one bit about their stw fanbase. ,they say that love is in the air, so where is the love for stw? the original fortnite game? #justiceforstw

Hey everyone, I definitely apologize regarding my last comment. It definitely didn't get what I wanted across.
STW and BR will often keep event content the same as best we can, however, not everything can line up at the same time. My point was that BR isn't the only game that gets cool things which is what I've seen a few times since our blog post went out.. which is why I mentioned the X-Ray Llama in the post. STW has awesome things that are being cooked up.. I'm working on having some additional details that I hope to share by end of the day tomorrow.
Again, I apologize and definitely could have phrased that better for everyone :)

That's exactly what they don't want because "hype" ususally results in "Community overhyping themselves", resulting in "unrealistic expectations", concluding in "disappointment because unrealistic expectations were obviously not met"
100% this. I understand that everyone wants more information regarding things we're working on. And trust me, I want everyone to know the awesome things we're working on.
However, please keep in mind that game development has many cycles and things can change. I don't want to put out a huge write up on a feature, and then it has to change based on bugs, design, etc, and then literally make the information we've given.. false.

As an Outlander main, I 100% support this. I was actually testing Wild Fragment before Field Agent came out and 100% fell in love with her hybrid kit. However, in terms of a full TEDDY dps.. I feel like he has a high place on the list for damage output.

I definitely do not have all of the Epic ARs or Shotguns. The dragonfly (I mistakenly called it a wasp) rolled twice as well. I have only one legendary sniper between my inventory and CB.

So you can actually get 2 of the same item from the same Llama if that is your first item. Meaning, if the Dragonfly is a new sniper for you, you COULD theoretically get 2 from the same Llama. It checks your inventory and collection book.. not additional items rolled in the Llama.
From what I understand it should protect you from getting a matching card unless you already have all of the items from that roll. I.E. If I had all ranged assault rifles in the epic variant it would duplicate one.
That is correct. The Llamas will roll based on your account so there is a chance that you can get 2 of the same items from the Llamas if you don't have them.
However, in your case.. are you saying you DON'T have all of the Epic ARs and Shotguns and you are getting a dupe? There does seem to be an issue with Dupe Protection and we're investigating that :)
