The current online limit is 20. This is not a design decision. We set this value for 0.9 as a starting point. The way it is set up, I think it is very feasible to increase the limit. I’m not sure if that will change or not. If we can increase the limit without causing unsolvable problems, it will likely be increased.

Because that’s the same thing as changing the system, which we don’t want to do. We’ve heard all the feedback on it. I’ve read all these posts. There isn’t anything novel in them. The most recent in-depth discussion with the entire design team was held very recently.

We will be implementing the changes I have referenced above and will then evaluate the new feedback after that.

Given the recent influx of players and new feedback, we have recently discussed this again in a game design meeting. We are not interested in implementing this at this time. We may discuss it again internally but do not expect this to change by launch.

We believe that it’s important for the feel of the game loop to have enemies fairly frequently drop items that you want to take an active action to pick up, but which you don’t have to take time to inspect to work out whether it’s good for you. However there are times where it feels bad at the moment, especially when it’s just one shard, so we’re planning to have them drop slightly less frequently and in larger groups on average. We’re also planning to add more of a sink for shards you don’t want, so that it feels less futile to have picked up a shard that you aren’t planning to use and already have hundreds of.

Just want to make sure we are clear that this is something we have very specifically decided not to do. We do not ever want to put a player in the position where they are picking between these types of rewards and power. They can go into pools where they are all together and power is not an option like blessings. But it is very carefully done so that the timelines which have these types of rewards don’t have any character power rewards.

This is a very hard rule that would require monumental shifts to be even remotely considered.

I don’t think so because it’s not like it’s making checkpoints really. If anything this would probably increase the chance by forcing you onto more servers. Pure speculation on my part by the way, please don’t think that staying logged in will help either.

We aren’t intentionally doing something that causes a rollback. There are a few bugs which can cause the servers to get confused as to what the most recent data is and a newer version of your characters gets overwritten with an “older” one. Technically it is a newer one but it’s not the most recent one you were in control of. It’s a long story but we are working on it and we have some solutions in the pipe that are being validated. There is no way you can tell if it’s going to happen as a player and there is no specific behavior that I can recommend avoiding in order to reduce your chances of experiencing one.

We know all too well how frustrating this is and it is a top priority to fix. This is one of those things that must be fixed.

We considered a system extremely similar to this for several months. We found that it ends up boiling down to free trade with more steps. It doesn’t restrict RMT and has some restrictions that the players have communicated to us that they largely don’t want. I’m sorry but we would need to make some big change to make this work.

For the time being, we are going to implement the system layed out in the item factions post.

I’m pretty sure this is all the same but that I’ve been working on. From what I can tell, the data isn’t gone. The information on how to display the stash is bugged so it can’t display the tabs. I’m hoping to fix it in such a way that all the tabs come back.

It is possible that there are multiple problems and some won’t return.

I have identified the issue and am working on a fix plus a way to fix the stashes that have fallen victim to this problem. From what I can tell so far, if it’s all the same issue that I can reliably reproduce, the stash tabs are just not being displayed properly and the items should still be there. I’m hoping to have an update next week.
