Are you and your friend both on Steam? If both of you are on 3.3.2, it seems likely that one of you has a mod running, or a corrupted/edited game file.

The correct checksum (the number in brackets after the version number) should be 87f3. Whoever doesn't have that, needs to disable their mods. If that doesn't work, you can try verifying game files (Right click Stellaris, Properties, Local files, Verify Local Files), and if that doesn't work, delete the entire Steamapps/Stellaris/ folder (not the one in /documents/), and reacquire it from Steam.

If all that stuff doesn't work, then open a ticket at support.paradoxplaza.com, and Customer Support can help you. :)

Empire Size represents the investment needed to roll out a new technology or tradition across your empire. For example, a one planet empire will need to invest far less into rolling out a new version of a space toaster, than a 100 planet empire will. There is no way to counteract empire size, however, you will get far more benefits from expanding and building more Research/Unity buildings over staying small.

The current version should be 3.3.2 (87f3). If this is what your game says on the main screen, under "New Game" and "Multiplayer" then it's a bug, that you can report here: https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/forums/stellaris-bug-reports.941/

If it says 3.3.2 and a different number than (87f3), you've got a mod that you haven't disabled yet, and that is likely causing your issue.

Any idea when newest patch will be launched on other platforms too?

There was a technical issue with Microsoft's back-end yesterday, and we couldn't submit the 3.2.2 patch for certification. This issue has been resolved, and we expect 3.2.2 to roll out on Microsoft store either today or tomorrow.

Sorry for the inconvenience!

Hi everyone!

The Stellaris 3.3.1 “Libra” Custodian Update has been released, and once again it’s time to look back on the past and forward to the future.

The 3.3 update went through an Open Beta which we feel was a stunning success. With the aid of the community, the systems were significantly improved and a large number of bugs were found and squashed. Thank you again for your help!

Are you using UI mods?

The real question is, how much were those scientists were getting paid if their wages were the equivalent of four month's income for an *entire planet* at the start of the game? :D

In anything but Windowed mode, the game acts like the resolution is about a third of what it displays. I can't click on anything in the lower third of the screen, or on the right edge. It displays just fine, no visible UI glitches. But almost 40% of the screen just doesn't work. I searched around, but I can't find similar issues. I've reinstalled the game twice, removed all add-ons...

Help?

Are you using UI mods? If so, disable them. Check your resolution, I have seen on occasion where using a streaming service like GeForce Now may cause the game to run in strange resolutions (ie. 1921x768) when it should be 1920x1080. You can do this in the launcher as well. You can also try switching to borderless fullscreen in the launcher Game Settings as well.

Are you mad that I'm not mad, I'm genuinely upset that I dropped all this money on a game and spent months learning it and literally all of the knowledge and money might as well be out the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ window. You mean like I might be upset about something like that or you think I'm just some idiot like you that likes to provoke dumbasses on the internet? Absolutely ridiculous how insane the pe...

You need to turn off your mods. :) Otherwise, verify your game files. Right Click Stellaris, go to Properties, Local Files and Verify Game files.

I've seen another post about this today. Can you report this here: https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/forums/stellaris-bug-reports.941/

QA doesn't check Steam forums. The link above is the best way to get this issue looked at and addressed.

Thanks!

If the issue persists, then I will make a bug report.

Thanks!

The Stellaris Team is proud to announce our second free Custodian update, the 3.3 “Libra” Update is Now Available!

The free 3.3 “Libra” update brings with it a plethora of new bug fixes, AI and performance improvements, more uses for the Unity resource, and a new civic for owners of both MegaCorp and the Necroids Species Pack.

AI Improvements
3.3 “Libra” AI is better at managing jobs, dealing with bio-trophies, choosing techs, as well as the ability to specialize planets over time. These changes, along with improved economic plans for the AI, mean that the AI is much better at scaling its economy into the late game, including alloy and consumer good production.

As well, the AI allies will now respect the “Take Point” command, and will always prefer to follow Player fleets while this command is act... Read more
