There is, and I own it, furthermore, I own the 3 colonize ring world segments in the system. In fact, I am the one who restored those segments, colonized them, and have own them without interruption.

BTW, it's happening again. And again it's in this ring world gated system. I am trying to move my fleet one system over. System B is owned by Federation...

In order to transfer a system, they need to be at peace, and have a claim on the system you want to give them, or having a system adjacent to the system you want to give them.

If they're friendly with you and currently being actively destroyed, that seems unlikely. (unless they're being attacked by the crisis). If it was a crisis attacking them, you could tag switch to their country, make the claim, and tag back to your country, and give them the system. (Providing you're not playing iron man).

I like playing Hive, taking lots of pops as livestock with the Catalytic Processing civic. Its certainly not the most powerful build in the game, but its very thematic. :D

The AI has been improved enough that you might want to consider playing at a lower difficulty level. :) I also now struggle with GA on 3.3.

Hello again!

In last week’s dev diary, we discussed the basics of negotiating subjugation contracts and showed you some holdings. This week we’ll present Specialist Vassals and do a deep dive into the Prospectorium, reveal more holdings, and share the names of the five Origins that are coming in Overlord.

As with all previews, numbers, text, and so on are not quite final and are still subject to change.

Keeping Track of Your Agreements
We felt that it would be useful to have a centralized screen for keeping track of all of your subjects, and added a summary screen... Read more

An AI empire might decide to declare war on an empire that is bordering them, but does not have intel on a star. This will have the following consequences:

1. AI Empire cannot invade the enemy territory, because it needs a science vessel to enter the system first (Or otherwise gain vision of system such as sensor range, gain intel in espionage)

2. AI Empire will not send their science vessel into enemy territory (Programmed to do so)

This empire is now in a stalemate. Based on programming and several variables (i.e. no free envoys to set up a spy network to get intel), it may never, ever, look into the fog.

Usually, this is resolved "passively"; assuming an AI empire can make friends or be part of a galactic community (...

Hello everyone!

In the Overlord Announcement last week we mentioned that vassalization mechanics will be undergoing some significant changes in the 3.4 “Cepheus” update.

Previously in Stellaris, subjugation was rarely a more compelling option than simple conquest, and being subjugated often essentially meant a permanent decline of your empire and a “Game Over” screen in your near future. Subjects did not offer sufficient benefits nor had the freedoms necessary to be enjoyable to play.

The Scion origin from Federations was somewhat of an exception with most of the restrictions on both subjects and overlord being waived for them, but we felt that while the system was good, it could be even better. It would also be nice for the Scion to work within the rules rather than being so “special-c... Read more

Also some origins are limited to one per galaxy.

In the launcher, go to Game Settings and choose borderless fullscreen or windowed mode. If that doesn't resolve your issue, go to support.paradoxplaza.com and open a ticket. Customer Support will be able to help you with this! :)

OH. Uhh.. I'm not sure about that. You can try running Steam as an admin, maybe? But that seems like its something you'd need to contact Steam support for.

Originally posted by Fabiaville: this is not an issue in the game. i've not launched anything of the game. it is an issue with the patch download (i did state this on the opening).

My apologies. As above, try running Steam as a... Read more

I suspect this is a launcher issue. A few things you can try:

1) Run Steam as an Admin
2) Add Paradox Launcher v2 and Stellaris as whitelisted in any antivirus you might be using. (You can temporarily disable the active protection to see if this will help)
3) Uninstall Paradox Launcher v2, and then restart the game. The game will then redownload and reinstall the launcher. Restart it a second time to let it finish updating.
4) Open a ticket at support.paradoxplaza.com.

Hope this helps!

Its a partial reversion of that fix, yes. Its a case where edge cases could cause unintended consequences.
