At least your stereotype exists, the Spanish costume isn't even remotely similar to anything traditional here (but I understand it's hard to find something like that in Berlin).
It's the outfit of a flamenco dancer, hence the castañuelas

I tried :(
Hello,
I'm so ready for Worlds! Did you know Paris is a city and not a country?! So you can say our European class is going great, my European is getting so fluent! Vedius is the best EU teacher, now we know SO many things about Europe. Worlds is gonna be lit af. So hype for the finals.

It's true. I know many European things. Like what a croissant is. And what side of the road to drive on. And Welsh. :)
Well thanks for getting my hype to 1000% now what am I supposed to do
Licorice was holding his own against TheShy at MSI? And TheShy wasn't having a great tournament?
Excuse me, but after these statements it's pretty tough to take the rest of the video seriously.
Just in case it's not clear enough: Neither was C9 at MSI (in fact, they haven't even one a split for many years now), nor was TheShy having a bad tournament at MSI. You could maybe argue that he had an off-series against TL in the Semis, but he absolutely crushed it during Group Stage.
Was definitely a mistake on my end. I remembered Licorice at world's last year and thought he had a great tournament overall, I then confused it with MSI. I then remembered MSI where TheShy was having a bad tournament, especially considering the expectations on him, and ended up combining the points. The whole point though was to re-enforce that I think Licorice is a great top laner and can hold his own against some of the best in the world. I am surprised that this single comment would devalue the other 68 minutes of content but to each their own I suppose.
The spectrum of skill and well-roundedness can be difficult to tackle. I honestly think both CG and C9 have less weaknesses than TL in the sense that they're more well-rounded, but they're just not as good player-wise. You beat CG and C9 by simply being better than them instead of devising some specific strategy targetting their team.
A team like RNG is the perfect example. No one's going to argue they aren't good, but there are definitely gaping holes in how they play the game which can be exploited (over-reliance on bot lane, sacking solo laners). And when good teams have these, it sparks a lot of discussion, because they're expected to do well but you can clearly see where it can go wrong.
Great response. Nice one!

Read moreI realize this is 10 hours after the fact and at the bottom of the comments, so likely as not this won't be seen, but my biggest criticisms and appreciations are:
- Keep that guitar intro forever and ever, amen.
- Loved the video examples about recurring strategies/set plays.
- I thought overall the format was fine; even if it's not the same format every time, the fact that you laid out your plan at the beginning of the video and followed through step by step (in this case, discussing the 3 LCK teams one by one) was appreciated and kept the discussion at a nice tempo. As long as you have structure to the discussion, even if it changes week to week, it's easy to listen to and follow.
- I liked you going into some detail about specific team dynamics (Effort/Mata rotations for Faker; BeryL making Nuclear look better than he is; etc.). Feel free to expound specific players and their roles in the team further! Would have loved a good few minutes on Ber...
Much appreciated!
Regarding your comparisons, that will be a completely separate content piece. Once I know the groups, that's when you'll get the nitty gritty comparisons that you're looking for. Matchups, stylistically, draft, all that jazz. Right now, the focus for me is to give overviews on the different regions and highlight information for fans to key into and form their own opinions over.
I'm glad you liked the guitar! Thinking of using it as a transition between points as well for sh*ts and giggles ;)
i was really lookin forward to see your thoughts on things but then i see it's 1 hour long and i had to nope out instantly :(
i don't think im the only one intimidated by long videos am i? i mean i get that's how podcasts are but just throwing my 2 cents
There are timestamps in the comments so you can jump to the bits that you're interested in! Hoping to make them shorter in the future though :)
really enjoyed it, ur use of examples is really fefreshing especially when one has just passivly watched those games
btw: who is the isolated waifu on the left side of the screen (on the right behind you, from ur perspective?)
Android 18 from Dragonball
Timestamps maybe owo
I put timestamps in the comments!
Any chance there’ll ever be audio only versions of this? Love a podcast like this in car or at work
As mentioned in a previous comment, right now no, only because I'm not sure how popular it'll be. If it's something people enjoy and I can regularly put out the content then I'll look into doing it!
[removed]
Currently no, I don't even know how engaged with the content people will be. If it garners enough attention on a regular basis then for sure, I'll think about it, but for now I'll be keeping it on youtube.
Will you be doing a podcast on other regions too?
If the reception is positive, yes!
Any feedback that any of you have regarding the format, the content, anything! Please let me know. First time I'm trying content like this and I may have missed something, poorly explained something, maybe you just flat out disagree, it's all good as long as you can keep your feedback healthy and constructive! Thanks for watching.
just need to frame them and then it's alright.
I actually do plan on framing them but I'm moving at the end of the year so will do it then :)
Read moreOk let’s rattle off a few points:
1) G2 and SKT were very closely matched at MSI, and that’s the basis for why the next points are relevant.
2) Caps is inconsistent, and though his peaks are incredible, Faker on the international stage is still up there as one of, if not the best players in the world.
3) Effort in for Mata. SKT at MSI struggled in the support role as Mata was only really effective on Braum, TK and Galio. Subbing Effort in has widened SKT’s champion pool from that role.
4) Mikyx has struggled vs Fnatic in playoffs, he had a great Thresh performance, but overall I think he was outplayed in the finals especially by Hylli, if he goes against SKT in that form I believe that SKT would have the advantage in the 2v2.
So rounding up all of these points, given that 3 of 4 of those points are marked changes in form, and they were already closely matched teams, I’d say SKT perhaps have improved since MSI moreso than G2 have, if we take ...
This is a great response and I agree with all of them. As an EU fan, I am a bit more worried about SKT than I was at MSI. Especially given the performance of G2 at the final.
Can you make one Damwon Vod Review please? Maybe against KZ or Game 1 against SKT
I did a VOD review of their series vs SKT on my youtube channel a while ago. It was the BO3 before playoffs though. Doubt I'll have the time to do the bo5 between damwon and skt
Why do all my tweets keep making it to reddit lol
Couldn't have done it without those that tune in and support the show every week. Thanks to everyone, both haters and fans, who help us grow, have fun and broadcast some peak league of legends.
See you all at the freelo centre A.K.A Worlds
