Same problem for me, also in NZ and getting 180 ping to Sydney while only having 119 ping to Singapore. ISP is Spark NZ. Used to be around 35 ping to Sydney.

Same, I live in New Zealand and I usually connect to sydney servers with around 35 ping but now it ranges from 190-119 ping. This may be just a problem with my internet and nothing to do with the game but It's really annoying.
Complain to your ISP. Also tell me who they are and I’ll see if it’s fixable.

You need to report this to your ISP. It looks like they are balancing load but might be a mistake. Send them both traces please. I will be meeting with engineers from there late next week on other business and will also ask about this routing then.

You’re going to have to log a complaint with TPG about this. We only connect to them in Sydney and this is their internal capacity being changed/managed.
Is the lack of third party sites accessing api going to be fixed?
This has nothing to do with me but I have passed this on to the people who worked on the migration for follow up. I am not sure if this will require the op.gg devs to point at a different endpoint or if something else in that ecosystem has been changed. They are routing into Singapore instead of Sydney. I’ll speak to a contact there tomorrow to get it looked at.

You’ve posted a lot of stuff but haven’t mentioned which location you’re in, which ISP you’re using and what servers you’re playing on. If you’re on wifi, it’s also worth temporarily running a cable to your router just to see if the local wireless is contributing. If your wireless network is the cause, there are steps you can take to improve that, especially if you happen to live in a high density scenario like an apartment in a major city.
At a super high level, we do monitor ISP performance across all of our games. Where we can, we advocate for our players to improve things using our contacts at ISPs all over the globe. It is however a very big Internet and we do have limited reach.

We are working to take hand-off from PLDT in Manilla to get some better consistency around the experience there. This work has been in-flight for a while but hope to finish by September. Once this is done the pings to Hong Kong and Singapore should be consistently lower.

It's ok - things look back to normal for them now. They might have had some sort of outage or issue with their upstream at Telecom NZ but it came good approximately 4 hours ago after being bad all weekend.

I’m in New Zealand and it’s also saying Singapore is my best connection. It should be Sydney at about 40 ping but Sydney is reading as 200 ping for me.

Look into Pentanet. They are actively pumping their game performance too.
Literally (I kid you not) everywhere besides africa so we're always discriminated against. Also haven't heard from u/RiotKorensky in a few months so im guessing the talks fell through.
They didn't. Like I said earlier - it's not my place to announce anything. There are a lot of projects underway at all times at Riot and there is a significant amount of pre-work across many teams required before we do anything in a new location. When there is something to announce, you'll hear it from the Valorant team. Until then we have heard you and there are efforts underway to try and improve things here but I can't give you any definitive information on what might happen and when.
Did this get addressed yet? WA Telstra user curious. Also can any Perth VALORANT players recommend a VPN for Perth-Syd?
We're probably about a week away from getting this in-place for non-Telstra users. Telstra are installing some additional infrastructure before they can connect to us in WA at the same location.

I've linked a few pingplotter traces, and for example on the 192.207.0.1, it's supposed to route me to the 'best' riot server in NA, but it's routing me to Georgia when it should be Chicago as seen in the other two images. When i try to get to Dallas or Chicago it first sends me to Georgia. My ping to VALORANT chicago was normally 15-20ms, now it's sitting at a steady 60-70ms
This only started happening around april 16th.

You need to reach out to WOW. I will reach out to their peering team and see if they can correct it on their side but it helps to have customer complaints.

Our voices are definitely heard but we're just being ignored, that's all it is. We've had people from North Africa help us out with getting really amazing traction on this reddit, twitter etc but we were just ignored, that's just how it always is for Africa and I'm not surprised riot discriminates against us. u/RiotKorensky said that they were having talks but he/she hasn't gotten back to us since that day
You're not being ignored. It's not my place to make announcements. I'll remind the folks this is sitting with that the community is still waiting to hear something but it's not a trivial amount of internal process and effort to just turn up infrastructure in a new region for us, cloud based or not.
bell canada in ontario (this is east coast near new york) has the same issue its 100% because I asked 10 people in game who used bell and all of them are lagging, it says the ping is 20 but im deadass playing on like 150+ my character glides and damage doesnt register until a second later please help please its so unplayable
Bell Canada was a different problem. It should have been mitigated late last night and stats for Bell are OK this evening. It is a big Internet. Lots of things break. Lots of things move around.
