I'm proud of this community too. <3
Even the negative feedback tends to be constructive and well-founded. You guys rock.

No shooting range? Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwww. Did we not kill enough bulk detonators or harvest enough minerals for you? Or did you mean just no Management's Office. Heh.
Looking forward to seeing what the "tasty news" might be then. :)
On the other hand I get the sense the Space Rig has a flag for no weapons, so even if a shooting range were put up, can't make an exclusion for the flag...
All I can say at this point is that according to our current plans, there will not be a Shooting Range...on the Space Rig. Extrapolate from that what you will... :>
So from five perk slots to four. Not feeling too perky.
That is not the case. As we say in the post, you unlock the fifth one by leveling and Promoting the Dwarf.
Read moreI can give a quick TL;DR:
Update is on experimental branch right now, goes live on main branch on Jan 30th
Focus is on perks and the space rig, along with some skins stuff
Perks are now catagorized as "active" or "passive". Dwarves start with one slot for each, and (with upgrades) can ultimately have 3 passive and 2 active perks at once. Passive perks are just perks as we currently know them - equip them, and they're on 24/7. Active perks are contextual activated abilities with cooldowns and/or limited uses. Ex: Iron Will is a one-time use, but you choose to activate it or not when downed, and is slightly stronger than before. Another active perk shown is Beastmaster, allowing you to target and tame up to one glyphid grunt as an ally. Others have been added and old ones have been tweaked, with the goal being to give players more meaningful choices
The space rig has been reorganized somewhat, with terminals in more mea...
The "new terminal" in the center is the Mission Selection Terminal - it's been moved to a more central position. The model is nowhere near done though, so it'll look a bit janky hackjob until next update.
As long as there's a shooting range and Management's office, I'll be happy.
There won't be.
BUT we may just have some tasty news in that direction Soon™. :>
Quality.
Lovely concepts and a great thread. Keep the ideas and suggestions coming, guys. :)
this is good imma forward it to mr art director
No need. xD
Y'hear that, u/robert_GSG? You gonna take that from this dwarf? Heh. Someone sounds like they're going on the naughty list when Management comes around with promotions... ;)
No coal in that one's stockings! The worst punishment for a dwarf!
Management frowns on tampering with the universal laws of physics.
Good thing it's almost christmas. :)
There should definitely be some sort of way for a player to know about this function
Agreed, it'll be part of our "onboarding overhaul" that we're looking into.
Would it be for the next update then? Or will it be more machine events and polish first?
I cannot give you any date on it, except that it'll definitely not be for 27. It IS a point on my list of things, however.
Any technical reason you cant make the drop pod BIGGER? Would allow her to just be in the middle and walk out with the players (after they're all out)
Technical reasons? No. Design reasons? Lots. :D
Can we get the reinforcement pods as starting pods in single player?
Not really the place to ask but I've been thinking about all those empty seats recently
Doubtful. The single-seater pods are designed for one (1) dwarf and nothing else. Would be hard work stuffing Molly, Bosco, AND all the loot into that little thing.
Just to clear up a few things:
- There is no such thing as "wasting a key" - once you have the Tritilyte Key, it is yours forever, and returns to you upon use.
- Judging from this thread, it's possible we may need to tweak some numbers. I'll send this on to the correct people and we'll look into it.
You'll be pleased to know that we fully agree, and that concept work is being done RIGHT NOW for a full overhaul of the Wardrobe menu. :)
More information as we get it!
Since I've seen others that weren't aware of this: Try hitting TAB while on the Space Rig!
To be fair, molly does seem to do literally everything in its power to make the dwarves' jobs harder.
Management would like to remind all valued Mining Personnel that the MULE and its onboard AI was developed at great expense by the finest minds of DRG's research department. Any shortcomings in the MULE's performance can only be down to user error. Your complaint has been noted in your employee profile and may be a point of discussion at your next performance review.
