Hey everyone!

If you're currently at the Fan Fest and have lost something, please make sure to head on over to the info counter, where lost & found items are being kept.

You can find the info counter in room 10 on the venue map, right next to the entrance!

There are no rules against using effects or gpose, so by all means!

Also the best part: real models will showcase the winning outfits with the emote of your choice!

Just to clarify - the outfits will be displayed on in-game models. It's a bit hard to get a hold of Roegadyn, Lalafell etc. in real life :)

Hey everyone,

When you are reporting these problems, can you please make sure to always mention your location and ISP? For those of you that have the necessary networking know-how (see /u/ckasecret01's post), traceroutes and packet loss statistics would help as well. Please also make sure to post about it on the official Technical Support forum if you can:

You pretty much nailed it - I've already had this on the radar yesterday. A GM ticket is the most important thing here.

Generally speaking, house demolition should never happen without any warning - you should get several emails warning you of any imminent action being taken. Given that you've said you entered your house regulary, even just the day before, we'll need someone to look into that. Please be as detailed as possible in your support ticket.

Hey everyone,
Please make sure to report bugs in the official forums and through a GM ticket. If you feel that there has been an issue with the GM ticket, feel free to send me a private message with the ticket number, and we can have another look.

I still have an in-game support ticket open to see if I can get anything more tangential, but the support has been somewhat unhelpful.

If the in-game ticket doesn't lead to anything, could you let me know the ticket number via private message, please?

I would like to see something about this over on the official forums, but as I know a good many of the reddit community can't post there, maybe if Kahuna is still around they can pass on a message or something?

As a house owner myself, the sudden influx of 'my house was demolished outside of demolition criteria' posts is extremely alarming. Is there something specific triggering this or is it just happening at random? I mean, my house is only a medium, but I've had it for years- and my FC has a large that I've personally put a ton of time and love into. Losing -either- would probably kill any/all enthusiasm I have to play this game, and it's clearly not a one-off glitch.

This does need to be brought up on the OF, though - I think it'll at least get more attention and awareness there.

I am indeed still around - there just haven't been a great many reasons to post lately (you guys help each other a lot, which is great to see).

I'll read up on this issue and then forward the feedback, so please keep it coming! And the advice is correct - if you can bring your issues to the official forums, then please do.

Hey everyone,

I wanted to share a message from the North American support team in regards to the post above with everyone:

Greetings,

Firstly, we'd like to confirm that the Callback Campaign is not a "lottery" based system. Users who meet the campaign requirements will be sent the campaign e-mail from our mail system each day. The notice in question ("Furthermore, we cannot guarantee recipients will receive invitation e-mails.") simply refers to circumstances outside our control, such as e-mails that hit spam filters or those that aren't delivered due to outdated e-mail addresses.

We'd also like to apologize for the confusion caused by the support representative. We'll be working with the team to ensure that the correct information regarding this is provided going forward.

I think I got 3 times Error i2501. My question is: if I don't get any answer, should I try again tomorrow and see if it works?

Hey there,

I get contacted about this error every now and then by multiple people, so just to clarify - the only time when I can poke someone in any way or form is if I suspect that a mistake of some kind has been made on our end. I can generally not intervene before the support process has run its due course. I hope the problem gets resolved for you!

Obviously we can't provide support for third party issues, but NVIDIA recently announced that they would stop supporting 32-bit versions of Windows, which may have something to do with it. As /u/vlorsutes suggested, it might be a good idea to look for the last working version of the driver. Hope that works out for you!

This already looked spectacular on stage at gamescom during the cosplay contest (again, congratulations!), but the setting really adds another dimension to it. Can't wait to see your next creation at gamescom next year!

I'm collecting information about that right now to forward. Thanks for the tag and sorry for not giving a more exhaustive answer - today is unsurprisingly a bit more busy than usual.

While I dig the art style, the WAR-dragora worries me a little. We may need to have a word with the Alchemists' Guild about steroids...

As a general guideline, you usually don't need a guide to get you started with the game. If you have never before brought a class up through the levels, I would advise against a skip potion, and simply play your chosen class/job to max level.

FFXIV goes great lengths to teach you gameplay and your chosen job. You'll start out slow and the game takes you by the hand, especially at the beginning. There are also Guildhests, which are trials that show you the basics of group play, and there is the Hall of the Novice, where you can learn anything you need to know about a job.

As others have mentioned, if you want to make your character look pretty, there's the glamour system for that - you can exchange the appearance of most items you're wearing with all other items of the same class that you could theoretically wear. Also, a lot of equipment can be dyed with a huge number of dyes and metallic dyes.

How long it would take depends entirely on your play style.
