Yeah, I can't decide if I should be hopeful that they admitted that it's a problem or disappointed that they took so long to do it.
We heard the community and wanted to react as quick as we could.
The issue is that we didn’t have the correct tools in place to be able to adjust the XP on a whim.
If we corrected too much that would be bad long term, if we corrected not enough and we said to everyone “c’mon back and try it again!” we’d be criticized again (and rightfully so). We took the extra time that we needed to 1. Make sure we have a better baseline in place for a lot of activities now that we had real player data and 2. Created back end tools so we can adjust these on the fly going forward as well as have double reward tower or Character XP weekends.
