Hey there, thanks for typing this up. Wanted to point out a few things!

We are currently working on the next zone and Wayfinder which will be designed for 31+. The content that is in the game now is not the final content players will see in 1.0. As such, scaling everything to what is essentially not the "end" of the game doesn't make a ton of sense at this point. We'll be doing that post 1.0 with mythic expeditions and open world areas scaling to 30+. We shared more info during our AMA which you can find here: https://www.reddit.com/r/PlayWayfinder/comments/1di0gv6/ama_with_the_wayfinder_team_wednesday_619_2pm_ct/

As i posted on Steam:

It sounds like a permissions issue we've seen before. I'd check out this thread on how to run the game as admin once so that it can create the proper folders. https://steamcommunity.com/app/1171690/discussions/0/4333106094378791009/?ctp=2#c6725643618950932934

We're looking at save slots closer to 1.0. But as others have mentioned you can also just backup the entire directory that has your saves in it, and then delete the existing saves and swap the files back and forth.

Highlands runs around 30-45 FPS with some dips here and there, and lost zones are 60+ FPS on Steam Deck / Ally. We'll continue to optimize but should be at these performance benchmarks with all defaults.

Is there any plans for performance fixes? My biggest problem with the game is that it runs really bad even tho my pc is strong enough. Also the coop gets desynced a lot during play sessions.

We’ve had 3 performance hotfixes so far and the majority of players have no issues. What are your specs and issues?

No new combos. But weight and response are adjusted some and we’ll continue to in future qol updates as mentioned in the last paragraph.

Wow, I read, but it went completely over my head.

That's what happens when you multitask.

It’s not in the overview. As stated in the article that’s just some of the highlights.

Sad that there is no mention of the imbuements or spectra.

We really need a better way of crafting them. Having to go the ipen world to get material for the imbuements, and them farm only one boss for the spectras is not fun after the 5th hour.

QoL 1 will have 2x the spectra locations in Frostmarch.

Not sure what specifically you're looking for? Enemies do scale on all difficulties.

Quality of Life Update 1

This upcoming patch will be the first large update to Wayfinder since the Echoes Update. While this update will have no new playable content (that’s coming with 1.0, so stay tuned!), we wanted to share what players can expect from our first “polish pass” as we work towards console release followed by leaving Early Access later this year.

Server Browser

By far our most requested feature when we relaunched Wayfinder was an easy way to get into a game with friends or yet-to-be friends! We’re excited to announce that we’re rolling out the Server Browser alpha in this update!

The server browser allows you to jump quickly into games based on criteria you set. Want to level your level 10 Niss by just Hunt farming? Or maybe you’re starting a brand new playthrough and want a co-op partner for the story and quests. The browser allows you to filter and customize the play experience you want to have. If ...

Playing on High and Ultra mixed at 85% resolution scale.
Granted I have a middle-age rig, I see the game is running pretty smooth (between 70 and 100 fps) most of the time. And there is no overheat from my components, so no hardware throttle at all when I play.
What is weird is that some areas will framedrop at times, and not at other times at the very same spot.
Otherwise great game !

Your CPU is at the minimum spec, so I would recommend playing at lower settings to remove the frame drop.

Played about 2 hours on my deck but wasn’t big battles. Ran absolutely flawlessly out the box and the controller support is great.
