As previously mentioned, if relivant historical sources for the M3 can be submitted via a report when it's on the Dev server, they can be checked. But nothing currently has related to the M3 or any inability to use it. The claims above would also need to be backed up via sources in a report.

The visual guidance system being part of the phsycial model is not a requirement. There are several vehicles in game, such as Lynx and G-LYNX that have the same sight on the roof when both TOW or the Hellfire modules are mounted. In reality, Hellfire required the larger experimental type sight to guide and fire Hellfire.

So visual model changes are not mandatory providing the platform could use the upgrade, which is represened by a module.
