Nobody ever said there would be another MiG-21Bis.
Nobody ever said there would be another MiG-21Bis.
Please try to consider, as we always explain, there is absolutely no reason to withhold a finished dev blog when the model, text and information are ready for publication just because the next or subsequent vehicles are not ready and the same people on the forum and elsewhere get upset because they do not understand how things work.
Time and time again, people jump to the same conclusions over the same matters based solely on the first few blogs because they dont understand how schedules work.
Two parts to this.
1) Those 3 nations typically have / had the most vehicles to choose from and examples of famous combat machines. By far, their vehicle pool out shadows the other nations by a significant margin. Historically speaking we are into an era now were Germany for example will start to slow down and other nations might speed up in some areas. As evident already with Britain thats had more than Germany this year and to an extent France moving forward.
2) Additions to the game as I said are largely driven by the community. What the community want, in the areas the community want to see have a big impact on what comes. Supply and demand.
Not really. Phantom FG.1 was modelled from FGR.2 and both were completed around the same time, because its more efficient to have two extremely close models made together. So I dont see how a British Phantom Model could have been added to the French or Italian tree as neither of them had it
The FG.1 also did not "take the place" of a French or Italian jet in any way. It simply does not work like that. Think of it as 2 jets cast from the same mold with miner alterations. You cant use that same mold to make an Italian or French jet.
Game content is what the community as a whole want and demand. The community as a whole drives what we add to a large degree.
Because it factually is the most CAS orientated Starfighter in game with the most payloads by far. A separate missing feature that aids in their use is another matter entirel...
Read moreThey did however get the most CAS orientated Starfighter variant in game currently. We are aware of other Italian jets, but as we have previously explained they are few and far between. So they are not going to come all at once.
I would remind you the Hunter first joined the game in 2015. 3 or so years after the MiG-15 and F-86 were in game.
Hunter was also a widely known aircraft, spanning several variants and exported extensively. Many air forces built their backbone on it for years.
Just by comparison, nearly 2000 hunters were built and exported the world over to 22 countries vs just over 400 Mystère IV operated by 3.
In the same case, one could argue Meteor F.1, the first operational British combat jet was more significant and important than Meteor Mk 3 which we have in game. When in reality the Mk 3 is more practical for the game.
Neither the Meteor Mk F.1 or Mystère IVA are flat out impossible or worth saying never too. But they are not coming anytime soon and certainly not the subject matter of this topic.
Entirely sidestepping the fact the UK is one of only 2 trees to have not 1, but 2 Phantoms. Had a top tier jet every patch this year. Had 2 Harrier variants last patch, an Apache, 2 Dreadnaughts, More advanced MBT variant, New unique Carrier model, several unique wheeled and light vehicles, as well as expanded rocket armaments this year alone.
Britain gets more than its fair share of attention.
Japan already has the F-4EJ and more recently the F-1, both of which are highly capable CAS jets.
And France very recently got the Jaguar. Its own domestic (joint with the UK) CAS / Strike aircraft.
Needed? Not exactly. Wanted? Yes its very clear some French fans want this aircraft, but there are examples of vehicles from all nations that people want to see and claim them as "needed" vehicles.
We have not added every single US jet and in fact far from it. So like those other US jets, the Mystère IVa also lies in the realm of possibility in the future.
Again, some nations dont have CAS counterparts until next generation or several years ahead. We are well aware everyone would like CAS counterparts and have several in the works.
But the expectation that everyone is going to get a Phantom equal when some simply dont have one is unrealistic.
Perhaps you should instead take issue with history then. Since its a solid fact that the US from this point onwards is simply going to have more jets in most areas than anyone else since they built the most.
There is no point in us withholding all US jets until "everyone else" gets one equal, because we would be here for years and then have 50 US jets all stacked up to add. To which point the complaints would be "why is the US getting 100 jets in one patch".
We generally aim to introduce as many significant, famous and important aircraft for all nations of the 20th century up to the position we are in now. The fact of the matter is the US simply have more than anyone else to add, so you can expect updates where the US is going to get jets quite often.
Its not just the US though. UK for example has had a top tier jet every patch too. Because they too have a lot of examples in the ...
Read moreIt wont have Mavericks for now.
We dont typically and it may still yet change. I just wanted to quickly end the "oMg iT wIlL Be 9.0 bR AgAiN WiTh aIm-9J".
Ah you mean that aircraft that is outclassed by the Arado 234, F-104G, Sea Hawk and pretty much everything Germany already has make the Gannet look like a toy )))
No. Its not coming.
I couldn't possibly imagine what your referring too
And we are adding them
Just you should not expect them at the same rate as US ones as the US simply have far more than anyone else.
No. You should not expect F-8 in the same patch as A-7.
Nope. Simply that the US historically has a ton of planes for us to add.
No.
BRs are never final at this stage, but its planned for 10.7. Considering how much ground ordinance it has.
Its a GAU 13A pod.
Currently its planned to have AIM-9J.
Nope. This is the A-7 Corsair II.
