We're completely open to feedback on the game's difficulty and loot. However, repeatedly working to refine your build is one of the core concepts of this type of game (not just TD2, but pretty much any game with RNG-based drops). There's different ways this can be handled, but tougher challenges being tied to better rewards is a feature in a whole lot of video games. The second part of your post left me a bit confused.

This issue is being looked into. Thanks everyone for the reports!

The tweaks to skill mods were bringing things back into line, where before they had extreme values due to scaling errors:

Complete overhaul of skill mods to give more achievable requirements and more reasonable bonuses.
  • Tweaked the ranges of bonuses to be within acceptable bounds where they had extreme values before due to scaling er...

OK, I'll get this reported as well.

I will pass the feedback on, thanks everyone. It may be worth noting that 20 extra round magazines do exist (Sturdy Extended mags).

Thank you for your answer! Id like to let you know that this problem happens also for the mission "Specializations", in the Black Tusk Invasion missions section.

Is this a mission you already had completed as well?

Hey all, I've sent your reports to the dev team. Thanks everyone for bringing our attention to the issue!

A couple of questions that will help us investigate:

Does this (ammo not dropping at all) affect the Sharpshooter and Survivalist ammo?
Does ammo not drop for those two Specs even after extended play sessions (minimum 30 minutes)?

Everything is fine as is.
I did mention that there are a variety of opinions about this! We're definitely not blind to the people saying we should keep it as-is. I personally think that the exact type of content, whether you're solo, and level scaling (especially before the fix went live) have an impact what people think about this.

Hey all, please open a ticket with https://support.ubi.com if you have video footage of suspicious behavior in the game. Our forum actually has rules against "naming and shaming," so publicly sharing videos of suspected cheating here is generally not allowed.

If you, for example, know an exploit that you'd like to share with the team: I highly recommend PMing a Ubi Community person with an unlisted Youtube video. Showing cheating methods in a public thread is also a no-go as this simply spreads a way to cheat, but we're happy to report any exploits to t... Read more

Thanks all for raising these concerns. I'll make sure to send this thread along.

I think the main thrust of OP's post is that open world difficulty can be a little bit much at times. We're continuing to forward feedback on the difficulty to the dev team, although we're seeing lots of different takes on the subject.

Thank you for organizing this as a multi-choice poll. Made for some interesting results. We're continuing to send feedback of all kinds about the difficulty to the team, btw.

Thanks all for the feedback! I'll make sure to forward it.

Closing this thread as the original post is pretty clearly meant to provoke responses from other forum users who don't share this viewpoint.

Remember everyone: there's a lot of different content in TD2. It can be played solo or in groups of varying size. People don't always have the same builds when they're playing this content.

Difficulty is going to be highly subjective, so please don't flame each other over it.

Can I ask which Control Point this was, and what level the enemies are in comparison to yourself? Is this in solo or co-op?

Hey all, this thread has been really informative due to the amount of details you've all mentioned about exactly which parts of the game feel unfair. It's pretty clear to me that your mileage is going to vary based on whether you're playing solo/co-op, and whether you're playing end-game content.

Please keep this up, and remember to avoid the flaming. Everyone's going to have different opinions on this topic.

I've noted the concerns about the athletic prowess of the game's enemy NPCs. Thanks all for the discussion!

The concerns with the TAC-50's accuracy have been forwarded to the team. In regards to the weapon's overall strength, I'd like to ask how you'd feel the weapon would be if it had a reasonable level of accuracy?
