As mentioned in the post, between now and June we're focusing on fixing some of the core issues the game currently has while continually working on additional content. At EA PLAY in June we will be showing off some of what is in store for Season 2.

I personally love it and really appreciate the representation in a game in a genre I love where I never see myself reflected much at all.

From my POV it has definitely been a positive decision for the game. While the dev team definitely has its fair share of cis white dudes we do care about representation and take it very seriously. I see some comments in this thread about it being some kind of PR ploy, but in reality we really just want to represent a world and characters that are unique, wide, and interesting - just like the playerbase. It's been awesome seeing the community latch on to and rally behind their favorite characters for whatever reason they like - whether it's their abilities, personality, background, orientation, or anything else.

What I wasn't fully expecting was the impact ping has had for women or people who usually get toxicity for using voice comms. That has been incredibly cool to watch.

It's nice to see Respawn taking diversity seriously.

Yes.

The FOV change is not the cause of performance issues, but rather there's a lot of stuff being drawn when their ult is popped. I do not know when it will be live in the game, but we do have a potential fix in the works for the performance issue. Performance probably won't stay 100% stable even after the fix - but it should get to a place where it doesn't drop as severely to the point where it hinders gameplay as much. I have not personally tested the fix, but I have lots of faith in our programmers :)

Are you getting a specific error message?

We love all platforms :) PS4 crash rates globally are quite low, so it's surprising to hear you're having this many issues.

No promises - but how would you like to see this implemented, if we were to do it? We provide dynamic supersampling, which essentially renders up to 4x the pixels if your GPU can handle it - but its dynamic so that it maintains the requested framerate when possible. Would there be interest in, say, rendering at locked 4K on a 1080p screen?

Install the 417 version of the NVIDIA driver, and then make sure that the NVIDIA control panel is set to use the NVIDIA GPU in Apex instead of your Integrated graphics.

There have been numerous fixes already deployed. The nature of a lot of the PC issues have been tough to nail down for everyone and their configurations - but rest assured we're working day and night on it. Then there's the additional wrinkle that even if we've fixed certain issues we can't just package that up and ship it out to you guys immediately - releasing a patch requires a lot of time from QA to ensure we're not breaking more stuff, and then it has to actually go through the process to get in your hands. As a result we tend to do slightly more fixes in a single patch when they're riskier like that so that we're not multiplying our QA time across the board - ultimately getting the game in a more stable place for everyone, faster.

Thanks for the patience. With tens of millions of players its been quite the, ahem, "adventure" getting to the bottom of some of these issues :)

We're working with both AMD and NVIDIA. Have you tried going through the troubleshooting thread? There are recommended driver versions that you should ensure you're running as well.

Additionally, I've seen a lot of people with issues that go away once they stop overclocking their GPU and/or CPU.

The aspect ratios and resolutions shown in game are pulled directly from what Windows reports your machine is capable of. I would suggest a clean install of your video card drivers, perhaps.

That sounds like bandwidth - are you on wifi by any chance? If so, I'd highly recommend going wired ethernet.
