Hey all, Riot Draggles here from the team 12 hours too late to get any visibility in this thread. I want to just say that we hear you about the change, and we're looking at our data right now to better inform our future decisions.

That said, I want to provide some context on the change as it has many reasons beyond the Reddit audience. We look at surveys and information from A, B, and C when making changes like these. It's important to get a full picture of what the 99% of global players at Challenger are saying before ignoring most of that and just doing what Reddit puts on the front page.

We know four of you have enjoyed the change, though, so thank you for your time and energy as we work to get it right for more players. We're aiming to have more updates on the change rolled out in a mystery number of months.

Issue: when enabling the mic for VC in lobby or in game, the audio for the game is gone. I can hear my friends fine and they can hear me.

it's pretty common in other games on iphone too, i think the phone thinks that the voice chat is an active call so it mutes the sounds.

Did basic troubleshooting, and updated my phone. Hope anyone can point me somewhere to have this fixed. :)

Hey folks, as of Patch 3.0 voice chat is back in testing in the Americas and we need your thoughts in a couple of key areas to keep moving forward with enabling voice in other regions.

  1. How is the voice quality? Lag spikes, voice cutting out, unwanted sounds and so on.
  2. Are there functionality issues? We're aware of a couple of quirks but any that actively block you from using voice?

er I mean hey Zarathielis! No plans for a seventh item. Updated image coming with the standard six slots + trinket; we've been exploring thoughts for what to do with the extra space but it won't be "hey you get to buy an extra item" cause that has way more impact beyond the scoreboard.

Yeah, I think this was pretty solidly overlooked in terms of the impact it would have on loading screen tilt. Ultimately, an ideal matchmaking system - you shouldn't have to think about it at all; you should just trust that it works.

And I agree that certain exclusions should be put in place (which I believe we're now re-adding in the form of "acceptable" ranked bands at each skill level)

I helped write this post, and I wanted to be honest with the reasons on why we're changing it. The data we saw does look better, especially when it comes to finding games for lower ranked players (with very little impact on overall fairness). But the thing I wanted to get across is that even if data looks good, we have to weigh up the actual play experience against it. In this case, it was not at all worth the tradeoff.

It's sustained performance is higher than the 888+ peak and the phones are out for a lot of time now to test it out.

What issues you bumped to hold back the release of that option? When we can expect that mode into the game, please don't say 2.6...

Because it's such a new phone we're still in testing for it; we have to spend time testing to make sure we don't have any overheating issues as components and hardware specs change (even if it's a straight upgrade)
