You should be proud of your studio. I'm always glad to be here.

Thank you! <3

That reveal was so nerve wracking. Both times I've been up on stage at the game awards I blacked out from the nerves. Don't remember a second of it. Last year all I remember is from a few minutes later sitting next to the Dead Cells guys, who are super inspiring btw.

  1. Removed lootboxes from the game before the controversy. Then refunded the platinum spent on them. Then let people keep what they got.
  2. Compensated players who made purchases for features that are no longer in the game, such as style hunter and guild charters.
  3. Normalized their premium currency to a 100=$1 standard so that there is no obscure value headmath going on when trying to figure out "how much is XXX platinum really worth" in the store
  4. Gave extra goodies, free of charge, to players.
  5. Extended hunt passes regularly whenever bugs cropped up.
  6. Finished all players huntpasses and granted them all the associated rewards regardless of their progress when the servers had to be taken offline during the final week of that huntpass.
  7. Recently changed transmog stones so that they're permanent unlocks of gear skins instead of one-swap-per-use.
  8. Are giving people who lost their transmogs 10 free...

Our goal is to always do right by the players. Can't say we're perfect. But we always try our best, and commit to owning up to and making right our mistakes.

We have -

European servers shouldn't have any issues. Nor are we seeing wide-spread reports. If you're specifically having a problem please reach out to Customer service so we can investigate further (we need account details etc which shouldn't be posted to Reddit)

For South America, as I've said before, our hosting provider is having issues, and so users are routed to the next best region. I have no ETA on a resolution as it's not ours to fix.

That said, we're actively working on finishing the work to enable dodging to be client-side with server fixups instead of serverside with client fixups. This is pretty tough as it breaks a bunch of core assumptions we have in the game. It's been moved up in priority and is in active development.

Honestly, this is one of the games I feel where they do the balance between paid and free players right. All paid content is either cosmetic or is balanced out once free players reach endgame (i.e. more dust for middleman). The only complaint I really have is the hunt pass length reduction.

Totally hear ya here. We're trying to find the right balance in both our patch cycles, content production cadence, and financials. We're looking at finding a way to slow down again for Season 7 and still hit our dates.

How bad is it to work at Phoenix Labs since I moved my desk near you last week?

The game runs like shit on pc too. I used to have a 1030 and it ran at 1080p half-res with dynamic resolution and all settings on lowest and you could barely see 50fps in squad screens. It runs pretty well on an Rx 480 but I still think they've got a lot of room to improve. A f2p game really needs to be more accessible just for profitability IMO.

Huge focus for the team right now. More than 10 folks entirely focused on performance improvement. Each patch should see significant improvements this year.

What type of PC do you have? We only see this, internally, on PCs that are below min spec or have some other weird thing like a VPN or Anti-Virus going nuts.

There won't be a large styxian pack leader as a behemoth because styxians are fauna, not behemoths. Behemoths aren't animals. That doesn't mean there won't be a behemoth who doesn't use them as a mechanic in the future (Boreus psionically dominates the minions it calls, which are simply fauna, not behemoths themselves, for example), but it won't itself be a sharkcat.

I'd be totally down for a big Styxian with little ones encounter!

Yes, SA servers are still offline, and folks are being routed to the next fastest regions. Our provider is still having issues providing the service we need in this area. I don't have an ETA. We're also working super hard to get local hit detection fully debugged so we can roll it out which will dramatically reduce the challenges that come with above average ping.

We're investigating a number of hosting provider issues we've been having over the course of the last while. We've rerouted some folks to North America who would normally be in our Sao Paulo region. I don't have an ETA on the fix as it's a hosting issue not a Dauntless code issue. I'm sorry for any issues this is causing folks , we want to deliver the best experience we can at our scale.

Where abouts are you? Nothing in our Singaporean servers should have changed for the worse.

We have the ability to record matches for later viewing, but it's a data storage nightmare, so we don't turn it on for production matches.

In this case I have a TV at my desk and twitch was running.

Shamelessly plugging a little app I wrote. Twitch Dashboard App allows us to have TV's playing streams all day throughout the office.

Very beatable, we feel that a 0:40 or even a high 0:30 is possible. Hopefully we will see some different strats, we spent about all day on discord theory crafting options. We spent about a good 2 hours together doing runs before we got the sub 1 run. Theory Crafting helps a lot with eliminating options.

Spent the day watching folks - man some great fights today.

We called this feature the Mayo Vs Ketchup feature, after Splatfest inspiration. I loved Splatfests and thought they had an awesome association feeling.
