Hi all, We’re happy to report that the Accolade Device is now available in UEFN. You can now design unique gameplay loops and take control of how your players earn XP, encouraging them to return to your island.

If you’re used to the Fortnite Creative toolset, you may already be familiar with the Accolade device. Now, the same feature set is available within UEFN.

With the release of 26.00, the ability to expose assets from UEFN to Verse is enabled by default for all newly created UEFN projects. For any of your projects created before 26.00, you will need to enable this feature by following these steps:

  1. Close your project in UEFN.
  2. Locate the .uplugin file in the project directory.
  3. Open the .uplugin file in a text editor.
  4. Find the property EnableVerseAssetReflection and set it to true.
  5. If no such property is present, add the following line under VersePath:
    a. “EnableVerseAssetReflection” : true,
  6. Save the .uplugin file.
  7. Re-open your project in UEFN.

We have resolved the issue where Mutator Zones, Skydive Volumes, and Damage Volumes were not working as intended in Fortnite Creative and UEFN islands.

We have deployed an update that resolves the issue with interaction devices.

Creators will need re-save their devices in their project level and republish for the fix to take effect.

We are aware ziplines do not have an instant interact time when players use them in UEFN islands. We are working on a fix and we will let you know when we have an update.

With the release of v26.00, the warnings you receive when you fail to compile a material will now be considered errors. This means the author of the material will now need to correct the issue(s) before publishing.

Previously, when publishing an island, these materials would silently fail. (On mobile, the materials would show up as a checkerboard pattern. Islands that are already published will continue showing this pattern on mobile, until the materials are fixed.) Going forward, these warnings will not be silent and the island will fail to publish until the materials are corrected.

Players and creators,

We’re aware of an issue where parties are unable to queue into some Creative matchmaking islands if their party size exceeds the island’s max player size. As a workaround, the party leader can load the island alone and then have other players join.

We’re working to resolve the issue and will post an update when we have more information.

Hey all!

In the v26.00 release, we’ve introduced a new “Max Used” bar on the memory thermometer located at the top of your screen in Create mode. Now, no matter where you are on the island when you place a device, the Max Used bar will show the effects of adding that newly placed device. Hi everyone!

We’ve released an update to the Creator Portal, bringing it to version 1.16. Here are some of the changes:

New:

  • Creators will now see more detailed rejection reasons when an island submission fails content moderation.
  • Creators will now see specific asset path information for assets causing review failures, allowing creators to fix issues before resubmitting.

Fixes:

  • Various fixes to publishing and moderation statuses and messaging.

Hello all!

You may have noticed a few changes in the latest update to the Creator Portal; let’s take a look.

New:

  • Team Members who do not have a Creator Code may now publish projects where the team owner has a Creator Code. Once the owner grants the “Publish” role to the member, they can publish projects.
  • Creators are now able to sort projects by the highest CCU in their project view on the Creator Portal.

Fixed:

  • Searching for projects no longer incorrectly displays the project by the name it had when created.
