Minor correction: anyone who played the game before the Germany map was added to the game. The game left early access when we released Germany.

So this is what I normally do -Finish writing the commands on commands.dat

-save and exit

-open the .bat file

-let the steamcmd load the files and after type shutdown to close it safely

-I open unturned

-Connect then add port

After that it says fail to connect, then go to LAN servers on server tabs and nothing appears

When you type "shutdown" you're shutting the server down. The server needs to be open for you to play on it.

Some curated maps and modded servers will create entirely new items, as in addition to changing the item description, they'll often rebalance the content. They aren't just just "overriding" vanilla item descriptions. All they've really done is pointed the game to use the same model, but otherwise it's an entirely different item with a different spawn ID and stats, that spawns exclusively on whatever map it was meant to spawn on. You could do the same, but it'd be much more work since the items wouldn't spawn naturally.

You could just create a Localization mod instead, since all you're wanting to do is change the item descriptions. Since it'd be a custom language rather than a Steam-supported language, you'd have to add the command line parameter +LanguageName to the game.

The console ports developed and published by Cradle Games and 505 Games are still being updated. The most recent update for Xbox One was on August 8, and the most recent for PS4 was a few days before that.

Cyprus uses assets from Greece. You cannot play on the Cyprus map without Greece installed. You can check from the Steam Workshop mod page to see mod dependencies for the Workshop content that you install.

For example, the Workshop page for the Cyprus Survival map lists that Greece is a required dependency: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1647986053

Some providers require using an app to configure. For example, Google WiFi can only be configured from the Google Home app (as far as I'm aware).

The version listed under maps does not correspond with the latest game version. You most likely have the latest version of the Elver map.

We no longer support VR map editing on the latest Unturned build (and haven't for years), but this cosmetic item is still obtainable through registering other certain VR games/apps on your Steam account. You could probably deduce the specific game that granted you the item, if you look at your recent game activations/purchases.

I'm going to link to the official documentation. Specifically, I have provided you with a link to the documentation on Asset Bundles.

This page contains various sections. If you're inexperienced with modding, just focus on the section about master bundles – the other information is generally not going to apply to you, and are not that important. Content bundles are deprecated and documentation is only kept for legacy support, and individual asset bundles are just an alternative for people needing a quicker iteration time during a fast development cycle.

Now, it sounds like you might be brand n...

Yes. The console ports of Unturned have been updated a few times since their release. The last major update added the Groups feature.

And a different device in my network is using port forwarding now so how do I stop using it on that device so I can start using it on this one? (Because you can't use port forwarding on multiple devices in the same network right?)

Yes – to customize settings like max players or server name to something other than the default, you will still need to use the Commands.dat file.

Multiple devices can utilize forwarded ports on the same network, just not the same ports at the same time. If you can't use port 27015, then choose a different starting port (e.g., 27018).

And can you explain what SteamCMD is and what it's used for?

So I just need to use the commands.dat file?

Generally, no. The Commands.dat file is one of two configuration files for server settings, but it is not instrumental in setting up an Internet server instead of a LAN server. The only relevant part of the Commands.dat file would be if you were to use a different starting port than the default (the default is 27015), or if you have a multi-router setup in which case you may need to bind a specific IP (this does not apply to a vast majority of people).

Nothing has changed regarding the default ports that need to be forwarded (which are still 27015, 27016, and 27017). If you knew how to port forward three years ago, you should still be find. If not. refer to: ...
