Like Grandaddypurple & AuddieD already said, it devolved into arguing, off-topic discussion, trolling, etc. - Far away from constructive criticism. Therefore this Megathread has reached the end of its lifecircle.

Every constructive criticism within this thread was forwarded, so there is absolutely no "loss in opinions" or whatever.

Everybody is still free to post feedback regarding H&H, and we will still read through it and may even forward it.

Also, the thread is still visible and you can find it via the search function. Since it's locked you will only find it if you search for the exact (or almost exact) thread name.

This is something that happens with Steam sometimes, it's got nothing to do with Valheim. It's been happening on & off randomly to people all week.

I do deliberate things like that, and I'd be super bummed :( I'm so sorry that happened.

Destroying the bottom level of a building and then standing back to watch things fall from the sky is so satisfying lol

Do you use any mods?
Alot of them are broken atm and needs to be updated by the mod-maker :(

Please remember that this is an Early Access game, that means that things will be introduced per the dev plan specifically for feedback from the community. If you dislike a change or have suggestions for something different or new, then you provide that here or through the discord. You're only going to be able to do that by playing the game, not by reading other peoples opinions.

With enough feedback the devs may make adjustments to test out further balancing (they have already made tweaks from Hearth & Home) - Early Access games are a work in progress, and typically people buy them to be part of that process.

If you don't want to be part of that process, that's totally understandable! It's not for everyone. If that's the case, I'd hold off playing (and avoid buying EA games tbh) till you get the retail release announcement.

Hi players.

We have identified some of the most common issues that at first glance may look like a bug, but aren't. Below are explanations and possible solutions for these situations.

First we want to talk about mods.

A mod is files you add to the game that aren't included with the initial Steam update.
Some mods are server side, like Valheim+, and those can also be broken for our big patch. So any weird issues for example you can't sprint anymore, or interact with things with the E button? Those are definitely due to mods.

When you get unity crash on launch, this is almost always connected to an update we have done, and the person behind a mod hasn't pushed an update for that mod, or you as player have a mod that isn’t up to date.

To manage your mods, go to the above folder and delete all folders EXCEPT [MonoBleedingEdge] and [Valheim_Data] And also delete all files EXCEPT steam_appid, UnityCrashHandler64, UnityPlayer, Valhe... Read more

It's just like real fishing. When the serpent tries to pull away from you, it drains stamina. When the line slacks, you recover stamina

I use Valheim+ for the advanced building mechanics. Maybe that's a good one for you to look into, you don't have to use any of the other options if you don't want.

Edit: Multiple users reported this "issue" (because it's annoying), but Iron Gate has nothing to do with that. It is possible that Steam is downloading saves from the cloud, etc. - Maybe Steam Support knows more.
