Four is good number for the game in general.

But it would be nice if the game engine allowed more, to allow for future expansions and modding down the road.

Even if Darktide is melee focused, the 40k world allows for more movement related abilities and more players than four would be less of an issue than in Vermintide. I’m thinking boss fights maps, defend the hill maps, and pvp processes.

Not sure it’s possible, the patch only touched the launcher files which are seperate from the game bundles.

Well, i need a repro when it happens. It’s nothing I or the QA team have experienced, so sending a video of the bug in action would help us along the way.
Would also be interesting to know if this happens on low master volume or not.

In cases where the errors continue to occur even after using the Verify Integrity of Game Files option, we consider it to be persistent data corruption - which can unfortunately occur for a number of reasons.

Yeah if you signed up and saw the thank you page then that’s the only notification you’ll get until a time comes when a test opens up and you’re in the group. Frustratingly they can wiggle their way into a spam folder so always be checkin’. It’s always worth checking spam folders anyway as they’re not the smartest things :slight_smile:

Looks like your installation is incomplete. Please try the Verify the Integrity of Game Files option:

  1. Right-click Vermintide 2 in your Steam library sidebar
  2. Select ‘Properties’
  3. Select the ‘Local Files’ tab
  4. Select the ‘Verify the Integrity of Game Files’ button. This may take several minutes
  5. When complete, close and reopen Steam
  6. Launch Vermintide 2

Sorry to hear that you experience these sound issues.`

Question: Do you play the game with low master volume?
It has been reported that the sound is acting up when playing at 0-10 in master volume.
I’m currently working on a fix for this but see if increasing the volume in-game solves the problem for now.

Possibly, navigate to the Vermintide 2 menu and select ‘Audio’. Within there should be a ‘Speaker Configuration’ option.

Hmmm I don’t know of any other workaround other than adding an exception, which I appreciate has been unsuccessful for you. :frowning: I’m not sure why AVG and some others interact so badly with Vermintide 2.

Thanks for the feedback. This has been changed internally, the ale and ammunition cache no longer drop inside of each other.

Patch 11

Bounty Hunter

Weapon Swap Buff

  • Added Inspired Shot functionality into this talent.
  • Fixed an issue where the individual buffs applied a power increase to both melee and ranged attacks.

Inspired Shot started out as a perk innate to the Bounty Hunter and was one of his core defining abilities that encouraged a hybrid melee/ranged playstyle, swapping between your weapons to generate the most value of your build. While Inspired Shot was severely underrepresented in pickrate, as a talent it still had a place as an iconic and fun playstyle for the people that really enjoyed it. Merging this functionality into the weapon swap buff talent should allow for some flexible gameplay, whether you want to utilize the old alternating gameplay of Inspired Shot, or the more sustained version where you go for a few hits with either ranged or melee to gain stacks of the Weapon Swap buff. We’re looking in to why certain players crash using DirectX 12. In the mean time I can only recommend continuing to use DirectX 11, which I appreciate isn’t ideal.

Patch 10

Huntsman

  • Mostly reverted back to pre-bbb version. Longshanks damage reduction functionality is split out from original talent and replaces Master Huntsman. Stacks are no longer removed by friendly fire. Free Shot replaces Maim. All other talents and passive restored.

  • KNOWN ISSUE - Blend In does not function appropriately, fixed internally, will be deployed tomorrow.

Let’s chat Huntsman for abit. Originally one of the most difficult careers to design for, Huntsman has always been somewhat of a black sheep when it comes to fulfilling a niche while keeping a clear identity. Starting out giving some insight, there’s a slight discrepancy between Markus Krubers identity as a character (design wise) and the Huntsman career in that originally Markus was never a career that was supposed to be the premiere “Skullcracker” kind of character where the player is encouraged to chase after every headshot they can go ...
