After rebooting the PC, and without closing Vermintide 2, can you play uninterrupted? But as soon as you close and subsequently re-launch Vermintide 2, the error re-occurs?

I know you’ve mentioned you’re not using BullGuard, but I’m interested to know - which Anti-Virus are you using?

Heroes,

Thanks for stopping by! This week, Vermintide turns two, and to celebrate we enabled the event special map ‘A Quiet Drink’ so the heroes can get some reprieve! Maybe. Probably not.

With Queen Kerillian out on the town alongside Steam Tank driver wannabe Victor, there’s some notable downtime for Lohner back in the keep. He’s been looking at some of your submitted artworks and creations, and we thought we would share a bunch of those this week!

This anniversary celebration is not so much about us, or Vermintide, as it is a celebration of everyone who’s been a part of this special journey with us. We might make the game, but it wou...

If your PC is crashing, windows will create a log in the event viewer for you to look at. Open the event viewer and look for a critical error around the time of your crash and restart. It should have a code amongst other things that will tell you why windows shut down to protect itself.

In my experience, these kinds of issues are nearly always a heat problem. Your cpu is probably overheating.

Heroes,

It is time to celebrate once more! Another year has passed by and Warhammer: Vermintide 2 is celebrating its 2-Year Anniversary on PC (March 8). Between March 5 and March 12 you can enjoy the anniversary in game. The mission ‘A Quiet Drink’ makes a return and of course, the Fatshark Stream on March 6th!

Tried it earlier today and noticed an insane improvement on FPS. Got 20 fps back AND was able to turn sun shadows back on with literally no FPS loss.

A recent observation shows Windows Defender has recently caused some problems in relation to game performance. Anyone with issues should quickly try adding Vermintide 2 as an exception and see if there’s an improvement.

Pop me a PM and we can sort that out for you.

It’s my understanding that this is as expected. I did raise this internally previously and was informed that it was ‘Working as Designed’.

Could you please upload the console log associated with this session?:

  1. Press the Windows key + R
  2. Enter %appdata% within the search input and select ‘OK’
  3. Navigate to AppData\Roaming\Fatshark\Vermintide 2\console_logs

Timestamps within the log names should help identify which is needed.

Thank you!

I must ask - have you tried re-launching Vermintide 2?

Comment

This appears to be unrelated to the previous crashes, try lowering your ‘Worker Thread’ count within the launcher’s ‘Settings’ menu down to 6 and see if there’s any improvement.

Comment

Apologies for the delayed response. Would you be able to provide several additional console logs, please? (Assuming this is still an issue for you)

Sorry about your crashes - I’ve passed your console logs on to our Backend Engineer for review.
