The patch is now live, which should hopefully address the lobby issue.
The patch is now live!
A patch is in progress for this issue, but it’s unfortunate that you’ve had no luck with the usual recommendations of restarting Steam, etc. Some players have had success in resolving this by disabling and re-enabling their network adapter.
Hi everyone - could you see if this is still an issue in a couple of hours and report back to me, please? I say a couple of hours, as it may take some time for the changes to apply.
Welcome to Update #12 - bringing you two new features and of course some fixes and tweaks.
First a note on the patch size. The patch is quite large, but the resulting game installation is smaller. Ultimately, the game install size has decreased and will take less space on your hard drive but the patch required to achieve this is hefty. We think the pros outweigh the cons in the long run.
Introducing the new Weekly Events. Think of these as Mutators that shake up the gameplay and add new interesting twists to the Vermintide experience you know and love.
Mondstille has also arrive...
Read moreThe empty lobby browser is a known issue and will be patched. It’s unfortunate that our usual recommendations didn’t work for you, I know some people have had success by disabling and re-enabling their network adapter.
As for the Afterburner issue, unfortunately I’m not sure we can help with this as it sounds more like an issue with the software itself.
Oh excellent, never mind then!
Please check out the solutions listed here.
Pleased to hear upping the Page File helped. Based on what’s in the console log, I can see you’re running 4GB of RAM, is that correct? I should warn you that our minimum RAM requirement is 6GB, so your performance may take a hit!
Could you try deleting your Vermintide 2 appdata directory please?:
Afterwards, please load up Vermintide 2 again, and let me know the outcome.
So, it’s all a bit messy.
There was a lot of Steam downtime over the weekend which I know was resulting in Sign-In Timeout errors for many across the world. This has since settled down.
However, customers of the ISP Telekom (and 1 & 1) are now experiencing the error which is unfortunate. We’ve Tweeted Telekom in hopes that they can shed some more light on what’s actually happening, as we know we’re not the only ones affected. Unfortunately, I think all we can do is wait.
If you’re still experiencing the Sign-In Timeout error and are not with the ISP Telekom or 1 & 1, please run through the solutions listed ...
Read moreVermintide 2 is sensitive to network hiccups, which is why it’s maybe more of a prominent issue. I know Blizzard is also affected, Overwatch especially it seems.
Many of our players who are with Telekom are experiencing issues, Telekom have acknowledged the problem but have not communicated it well to the public. It’s my understanding that 1 & 1 rely on the Telekom network?
Which ISP are you with Midnight?
Which ISP are you both using? I ask as we’ve since determined that the ISP Telekom is having problems, consequently producing errors in Vermintide 2. It’s a widespread issue and is not isolated to Vermintide 2.
This is in our bug tracker, thanks.
So the closed test application is something we do every now and again (I’d say on average once a year). It give us a pool of players we can tap in to for potential tests. This application isn’t for a particular test, although we may run one soon.
We wouldn’t be able to let players who weren’t selected for any given test know, it could be luck, or not fulfilling the criteria for the particular test, or RNG in the case of “too many eligible candidates”. If someone is invited to test, they’ll get an email though
Are any crash reports or errors displayed when this occurs? if so, please send them my way.
